Surprise!! I feel like I have been keeping the biggest secret the past few months and I’m so excited to finally share that we’re having another baby! I’m 15 weeks pregnant and baby is due April 15th, 2019.

We actually found out back in early August, right after we got back from our weekend in Napa. It was really early…. I wasn’t even 4 weeks pregnant yet. We had a little scare at our first doctor’s appointment when they couldn’t find the heartbeat and we were told to come back in two weeks. Thankfully, two weeks later I was far enough along and we finally got a heartbeat and a due date. But those two weeks were long and scary!

There have been so many times I wished I could spill the news, but knew I wanted to wait until I was in the second trimester, which technically starts at 13.5 weeks. We had a doctor’s appointment scheduled for 14.5 weeks and decided we’d wait until after that appointment to share our news.

Pregnancy is a funny thing and everyone has a different experience. I’ve been very lucky both times and have not had morning sickness at all. In fact, both pregnancies have been practically identical symptom and craving wise. My biggest complaint is the extreme fatigue and craving alllll the carbs and sugar. I’m trying to eat healthy but it’s so hard when chips, sour candy, chocolate, and goldfish are on hand. Self control is hard when you’re pregnant.

I will say it seems a little harder the second time around since I’m chasing after a toddler all day. But I’ve found the best way for me to fight the fatigue is to push through it. Because of that, Crosby and I have been going on lots of walks and trying to keep as busy as possible.

We found out the gender last month but will be keeping it private for a little longer. I’m just really excited for Crosby to be a big sister. She’ll be 2 years and 1 month older than the baby and I love that they’ll be close in age.

It’s funny, I thought I was majorly showing until I got these pictures back. I just felt so much bigger than I look here. I thought I’d post one of these shots and it would be pretty obvious that I was pregnant. Plus everyone says you show so much faster the second time. There is a little bump, but you can’t really see it unless I stick it out. It’s been pretty easy to hide it and my clothes are all still fitting.

Now that it’s out there, I’m looking forward to dressing the bump again. I had so much fun putting together pregnancy looks last time and this time I’m challenging myself to not wear maternity clothing at all. Or as little as possible, I know I’ll need to wear maternity jeans at the very least.

Thank you to those who have reached out with little suspicions here and there… Sorry I lied to you! I was worried it would be very obvious once I stopped the rosé IG stories and a few of you seemed to notice. I found this non-alcoholic rosé and would show myself sipping it from time to time. This community is SO amazing and I’m so thankful for the support you’ve shown me and my family over the years.

Baby #2, here we come!!
