We just spent a fun winter-y weekend in Big Bear with friends. All last week the forecast called for lots of snow so we frantically pulled out our warmest clothes and even ordered chains for the car. Well mother nature had slightly different plans. While it wasn’t quite blizzard conditions we arrived to a teeny bit of snow and got about an inch Saturday night. Just enough to make a bunch of Orange County kids happy… and not too much that we froze.
I was a little torn with brining out a fun maxi dress this early, but I really couldn’t resist. I got this one in the mail last week from my friends at Cleobella and started dreaming of spring. I’ll probably bring it with me on one of my upcoming trips to the desert – we’re going to La Quinta next week and Arizona in April!
Last week winter decided to make an appearance in Southern California, and it had been so long I’d forgotten what it was like to be cold! Out came the jackets, coats and sweaters as I tried to be as layered as possible. I had back-to-back brunches mid-week, so it was fun to get a little more dressed up than I normally do. But I’m back to basics this week as I catch up on work and prepare for a fun weekend away.
Happy Tuesday! We’re having a blast of winter weather this week, but over the weekend it was warm and amazing and I was able to wear this fun new spring top. I love the floral print and ruffle detailing and it’s currently on sale! I’m hoping this cold weather doesn’t last long because I’ve started shopping for spring and I can’t wait to wear more of my new things!
