How many times have I worn this chambray shirt this summer??? It just goes with everything and is the perfect piece to throw on because its so light, as opposed to something heavier like a denim jacket. And yes, I have this exact bag in two colors. I can’t help it, I love it so much!
It still feels like full fledged summer in LA, so I’ll be wheeling out more warm weather pieces until that changes. When I’m in the sun I love having a hat to protect my face and this one is one of my favorites. Panama hats are super casual but still have a wide enough brim to shield from the sun. I don’t wear hats all that much in my day-to-day life, but I love what it adds to this look. Sometimes I forget how a simple accessory, like a hat, can really complete a look.
This dress is an old favorite of mine. It’s so versatile that I’ve worn it to many parties, weekend outings and even to work several times. In the spring when it’s still a bit chilly, I love layering a sweater over it so it looks like an eyelet mini.
I wore it to lunch in Newport Beach over the long weekend, then on the walk back we stopped to take some pictures by the boats. I loved the way by blue and turquoise outfit looked with the boat and water backdrop.
Happy Labor Day! Hope you’re enjoying your long (last) summer weekend. I’ve spent mine all over Southern California – from Malibu to south Orange County.
I’ve been eying collar necklaces for a few months now so when I spotted this one at h&m I knew I had to get it! It adds so much to even the simplest look, like what I’m wearing here. But it will also be fun to add to a dressier top or dress to finish it off.
I know lots of people think this is “technically” the last day to wear white jeans, but I think that’s a dated rule. I plan on wearing mine for at least another month but probably longer… and I’ll switch to winter white when it finally cools down here. continue reading
