Our weather has been all over the place lately so I’ve been dressing in layers a lot.  This past weekend got so warm but the mornings were a little cooler so I threw on two button up shirts to go to breakfast.

By the time I was done it really heated up but I was thankful for the layers in the morning.

I love all colors, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I love colored jeans.  I got these pants at F21 awhile back and have worn them so many times.  I was surprised with the versatility of pink pants… perfect for casual days at the office, a night out with friends or just running errands- like I was today.

The other night I went to a great friend’s restaurant opening in Huntington Beach.  I’m not exactly a “foodie” (that word sounds so pretentious) but it was some of the best flavors and food I’ve ever had.  Check out Slapfish if you’re in the area.

I didn’t take any pictures at the restaurant but the colors in my dress kind of matched the colors in the food/sauces.  It wasn’t an accident.

I’ve always loved this color combo, it’s fresh and bright and reminds me of watermelon and summer which is perfect because we’re in the middle of a heat wave right now.  This dress was a recent Target find.  I like how it has a subtle high-low hem but is long enough to be work appropriate… especially when I add a cardigan.

I put two simple braids in my hair, then pulled them across my head and secured them with bobby pins for a braided headband look.  It could not have been easier. continue reading

I work in the entertainment industry and come face-to-face with celebrities on a daily basis so I don’t get “starstruck” often.  There are only a handful of celebs still living I’d go crazy to meet and my top two are Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.  I feel like I grew up with the twins and often refer to myself as the Olsen triplet, even though I’m two years older and about two inches taller.  And yeah, I share a name with Ash so I guess it would be weird for us to be sisters. continue reading
