Happy Monday! We're back to 80 degrees/basically summer weather so I'm looking back to last week when we had a little bit of actual fall. It was fun to get dressed for colder weather and I documented my outfits each day. Breaking them down below.
Last weekend we had our first batch of actual cold weather. We spent the majority of the time inside but Sunday afternoon after naps we decided to head out on a short walk and we really bundled up. Luckily the kids both had semi appropriate clothing but this also forced me to go through our closets to purge what no longer fits and figure out what gaps we need to fill before it gets colder.
on me: sweater, leggings, jacket, beanie, combat boots
on Crosby: beanie, similar top, similar jacket, leggings, combat boots
sweater, similar jeans, similar booties, sunglasses, purse (in black)
I can't believe Thanksgiving is just a couple weeks away! I feel like it always kind of sneaks up on us after Halloween, but this year I'm especially excited for it. Do you dress up for the day or go more casual? I'm all about casual and comfort - basically anything I can wear to chase around two toddlers and eat and drink to my hearts content. Today I wanted to share 8 casual Thanksgiving outfit ideas that you can easily recreate with pieces from your own closet. It's officially boot season! One of my favorite boot trends right now are combat boots... or military/army whatever you want to call them. I've been really into the combat boot comeback the past few years. When I was in 7th grade I saved up money babysitting to buy my first pair of Dr. Martens boots. I collected a few pairs back then (late 90's) that I held onto and still wear sometimes! Today I want to share a roundup of combat boots I'm loving at various price points.
Over the weekend we had our first taste of fall weather this year. It was a nice change from the crazy heat we've been experiencing. Naturally that got me thinking ahead to fall and winter fashion... specifically outer wear. Usually at the start of a season I like to take inventory in my wardrobe to see what holes I need to fill. Today I want to talk about my favorite outer wear trends right now.
Tis the season… to buy matching family pajamas! I know, I know… it’s not even Halloween yet but these things go fast! Usually by mid-November lots of sizes are sold out, so if you’re thinking about family jammies, now is the time to buy.
Last year we wore these red and white rugby striped sets and they’re back in stock (baby, toddler, men’s, women’s, kid’s). They’re classic and perfect for any gender. The come in one pieces for babies and two pieces for toddlers (12 months and up). I’m thinking about ordering Crosby and Wilder each a new pair and wearing them again this year. Mackie could even get in on it and wear Crosby’s 2T top from last year. 🙂 continue reading
