Up until recently anytime I’d see anything with one shoulder, I’d automatically flash back to some cringe-worthy trends of the early 00’s. Specifically a black top I wore with a hot pink mini skirt to a Justin Timberlake concert that made me look like a Good & Plenty candy. So when this trend came back around I was a bit hesitant at first. Then I started seeing the silhouette more and started to love how ruffles could add a billowy look, instead of the body-con way I wore it in the past.

Speaking of past trends… I wore this top to brunch last month with my best friends to celebrate 10 years since we graduated college. After brunch I went on a facebook trip down memory lane and saw all kinds of outfits that are now just as cringe-worthy as my above mentioned Good & Plenty look.

I found several more one-shoulder pieces I’m loving right now if you’re interested in the trend too. They’re all under $100!
