Saturday we went to a friend’s house for an early Thanksgiving celebration. Coincidentally, it was also the first day it actually felt like fall! I was so cold even in my layered ensemble, but it really gave it that “holiday” feel.
When mixing prints like I did here, I like to keep them in the same color family. The oranges in my sweatshirt were brought out by the similar tones in the flannel.
So the highlight of this outfit is clearly my pants. I’m obsessed with them. But something I’d like to point out is aside from my bag, headband and jewelry everything I’m wearing is Forever 21. And aside from the pants everything is a few seasons old. Moral of the story is shop around, bargin shop and hang on to classic pieces because you will no doubt wear them for years to come.
I wore this to the premiere of “Life of Pi” at the AFI Fest last week. Even though the temps have been high during the day they drop quite a bit at night so I was glad to be in comfy pants. More on the AFI Fest later.
In honor of the election today, I’m wearing red white and blue. A dark denim jacket always makes me feel patriotic and I kicked it up a notch when I paired it with this red dress with tiny stars.
Whatever your political preference, I hope you get out and vote today!
