Swans are my second favorite bird (behind flamingos, of course), so naturally I was so excited when I got this skirt in the mail. I mixed prints and paired it with this striped crop top here, but can see it so many ways. In the dead of winter it would look cute paired with a black turtle neck and tights. But it would also pair well with a cream sleeveless top. I love pieces like this that are so versatile.
I posted this look on instagram over the weekend and a girlfriend called me to tell me it reminded her of something Carrie Bradshaw would wear. Best. Compliment. Ever. I have to admit this look was a bit out of my comfort zone, but sometimes it’s fun to just go with it. And I’m so glad I did. Midi skirts are still semi-new territory, at least to me, but I’m having so much fun with them!
