We arrived in Big Bear yesterday afternoon and walked right into picture perfect fall weather. Naturally Crosby and I took the opportunity to twin in our mommy and me matching sweaters. They actually aren't a matching set, or even the same brand. I've had my sweater for years now but found Crosby's at H&M a few weeks ago and knew it would match mine.

We went into the weekend without many plans, but it still ended up being one of the best in awhile. We ran errands, went to our favorite outdoor malls, cleaned the house and visited another pumpkin patch with friends. This week we're heading to the mountains with family... no Monday blues here! Now that it’s October (well it was still September when we took these photos over the weekend), I think it’s finally appropriate to do all the fall things. Like visiting a pumpkin patch… while wearing fall outfits, of course. We tried to dress accordingly, but since it was still warm we had to get a little creative with our wardrobe. And when I say “we” I mean Crosby because I’m clearly wearing another version of the same outfit you’ve seen me in the past couple of weeks.

It's still pretty warm here, but I'm trying to start to transition my wardrobe to fall, little by little. The easiest way to do that is with color.
Although I do like to dress up, I'm all about practical style. It just fits in with my life. When shopping I look for pieces I can wear every day while working from home and playing with an active toddler, that still work if I am out and about.

Double the striped jumpsuits - mommy and me style! Crosby has been wearing hers all summer (last seen here), but I recently picked up mine at VICI and knew we had to wear them together. I can never pass up an opportunity to twin.
