Happy Friday! Was it just me, or was this week extra long? I’m kicking off the weekend with a little home post. Our house is still being renovated so I thought I’d share one of my current inspiration boards for our kitchen nook.

We already have the table and two of these chairs, but need some finishing touches to spruce it up. The light fixture that was there when we bought the house was dated and not our taste, so I’ve been searching for a new one. I have my eyes on a few right now.. this copper pendant is so pretty and I love how it looks with this rug. But I’m also loving this one. What do you think?! continue reading

It’s been a crazy busy past few months and if you’ve been following me on instagram or snapchat (ashnfashn) you might have seen it’s because we bought a house! We started looking shortly after we got married last summer and looked at a lot of houses. So many that if you’re in the market in the Orange County area, let me know so I can give you all the tips I picked up.

After many months, we finally agreed on one and plugged the trigger. We closed right before Thanksgiving and moved in that weekend. Side note: not an ideal time to move. continue reading

Since we moved, over three months ago, we’ve been working on getting everything in just the right place. The last room we have left to finish is actually our bedroom. We already had the big ticket items but need several pieces to really finish the room. I’ve done so much shopping online… West Elm, Lulu & Georgia and Amazon have been my go-to places for easy inspiration.

I have been obsessing over bar carts for a couple of years now. Last year I purchased one identical to this one on amazon. Since I’m moving to a bigger place I decided it was time for a bigger bar cart and am upgrading to this one from Target. I just ordered it and had to share because it’s on major sale. Originally $129, marked down to $116 with an additional 15% off. Too good!

ps – I have plans to keep my old bar cart and put it in the guest room as a night stand. I’ll keep you posted! continue reading

I’ve been obsessing over bar carts since I discovered Pinterest a couple years ago. It didn’t even dawn on me until a few months ago that I had the perfect space in my condo for one.

So I did what any other sane 28-year-old would do and I searched and stalked them all out before finding one that was in my budget on amazon. Duh! Should have checked there first.

After it was assembled I raided my liquor cabinet and went to town, before realizing like other pieces of furniture, it needs a little styling help. Aside from the obvious essientials (booze) I added fresh flowers, some cookbooks that were collecting dust, some fun straws and my cork collection. continue reading
