It seems like just yesterday Wilder was born and I was trying to navigate a toddler and a newborn. Now I’m juggling two toddlers and time is seriously flying. Wilder is 14 months old, but honestly he seems like more of a baby than a toddler. Maybe it’s because he’s the youngest, but I’m not really in a hurry for him to grow up. Today I want to share our favorite toys and things at this age.

Several months ago I decided I wanted to do a pizza theme for Wilder’s first birthday party, keeping with the theme of his monthly pictures. Monica and Andy sent the cutest matching pizza outfits for the kids, I collaborated with Minted on invitations, started looking at decorations and started the planning process. Obviously with everything going on in the world right now we were not able to have a party, but we still celebrated Wilder big!

Today Wilder is one! A whole pizza! He’s most excited to never have to get in a pizza box again. After we started his monthly pizza photos I thought it would only be fitting to have a big pizza party for his first birthday. We’re obviously not doing that now, but are still celebrating with our little family of four and our families will join over zoom.
In honor of Wilder’s first birthday I wanted to share his birth story…

Wilder is ten months old today on the 10th, his golden month birthday! It’s so crazy seeing an almost full pizza box and how big he’s gotten since we started doing this. This was probably the hardest month to photograph because he would not stay still. He rolled onto the pizza a few times and we were probably only able to get 10 shots total. The next two months should be very interesting and difficult…

This sweet boy is eight months old today. It really goes even faster the second time… if that’s possible. I had to squeeze him into a onesie that was at least 2 sizes too small for this shoot, I’ll be ordering him onesies in the correct size now.

Our Christmas tree has been up for a few weeks already, but that didn’t stop us from making our annual trip to the tree lot. And of course, we had to dress the part. I bought these beanies when Crosby was a baby and purchased a second set this year so she could still match us. Guess who didn’t want to wear hers? Ha! At least Wilder is still willing to match with me.

Wilder is 7 months old today! He’s a dream baby and I feel like this past month was a pretty busy one for him. These monthly pizza photos are getting more and more challenging as he grows and becomes even more active. We had so many outtakes where he was really trying to get the pizza. I’m anticipating them only getting harder in the next five months.

I have been dying for the three of us to wear these denim jackets since I got them last winter. Now that Wilder is here and fits into his, Big Bear was the perfect place for us to debut them! Well kinda, since Crosby and I have already worn our a ton. Wilder was so cute in his… there’s just something about a baby in grown up clothes that’s really adorable.

I am in disbelief that my baby is six months old. How is time moving so quickly? Half a year! As much as I’d like to hit pause I am loving watching him grow and seeing his sweet personality come out more and more. I would be ok with time going a little bit slower though…
