Holiday Matching Family Pajamas

October 21, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

Tis the season… to buy matching family pajamas! I know, I know… it’s not even Halloween yet but these things go fast! Usually by mid-November lots of sizes are sold out, so if you’re thinking about family jammies, now is the time to buy.

Last year we wore these red and white rugby striped sets and they’re back in stock (baby, toddler, men’s, women’s, kid’s). They’re classic and perfect for any gender. The come in one pieces for babies and two pieces for toddlers (12 months and up). I’m thinking about ordering Crosby and Wilder each a new pair and wearing them again this year. Mackie could even get in on it and wear Crosby’s 2T top from last year. 🙂

Burts Bees makes the best pjs. The have some other cute matching family options, like these in fairisle print; toddler size, baby, men’s, women’s, kid’s.

There are lots of cute options at Target too. Loving the print on this pair.

These are so festive, I love the dark green Christmas tree print.

Bedhead even makes matching pairs for dogs! There are several cute options here.

Twelve Months with Wilder

April 10, 2020 by ashadmin 1 Comment

Today Wilder is one! A whole pizza! He’s most excited to never have to get in a pizza box again. After we started his monthly pizza photos I thought it would only be fitting to have a big pizza party for his first birthday. We’re obviously not doing that now, but are still celebrating with our little family of four and our families will join over zoom.

In honor of Wilder’s first birthday I wanted to share his birth story…

My due date was April 15th, but when I went to my 38 week appointment my doctor told me she would induce me any time in my 39th week. She was comfortable doing so because it was my second birth and she thought it would go smoothly. That appointment was on April fools day and Jeff couldn’t make it so when I told him the news he thought it was a big joke. Finally I convinced him and we thought it over and decided Wednesday April 10th would be a good day for the induction.

It was kind of weird knowing my pregnancy had an expiration date because Crosby’s birth completely took me by surprise. We tried to cram as much fun for Crosby as possible into the last week and weekend leading up to the big day.

Since we were supposed to be at the hospital around 6 am Jeff’s mom decided to come over the night before and spend the night so she’d be there in the morning when Crosby got up. We picked up tacos for dinner from our favorite local spot, put Crosby to bed and I poured myself a glass of wine. I wanted to sleep that night and thought one glass after not having any for so many months would relax me.

I took about two sips and then my water started to break. Jeff couldn’t believe it and still thought we’d be able to get a full night’s sleep. I had to call the hospital to get him to realize we needed to leave ASAP.

Once we got to the hospital and they checked me out they weren’t convinced my water actually broke and said it may have only started to and sent me out to walk the halls for an hour. I think this was all around 10:30/11 pm and I was so tired and uncomfortable but still managed to walk the halls in my tent of a hospital gown for over an hour.

When the time was up we went back and they saw how much I progressed and asked me if I wanted my epidural then or wanted to wait. Music to my ears! I obviously got it as fast as I could and was hoping I’d be able to rest or possibly nap for a little bit. Not even an hour later they came in and checked me again and said I was fully dilated and they’d call my doctor. It was about 2 am, my doctor arrived about 20 minutes later, I pushed for maybe 20 minutes and Wilder was born at 2:54 am.

Such a whirlwind experience and even faster first year. I said yesterday that it was the fastest year of my life combined with the slowest month in history. Wilder is such a bright light right now and everything our family needs. He may not be getting a big first birthday party but it will be one we always remember.

Eleven Months With Wilder

March 10, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

Eleven months! One more month until Wilder is one, I just can’t believe it. His face is basically how I feel about him almost being a toddler. I just want to keep him a baby forever. He’s had a pretty busy month… his top 4 teeth popped through, speed crawls all through the house and pulls himself up on anything and everything.

I’ve been buying him some spring clothes I wanted to share. I think little boys look so cute in basics… henley’s, t-shirts, etc so that’s what I’ve been buying! They’re comfy and perfect for play.

These henley’s from H&M, they come in a 2 pack. The quality is great and they run a little big.

Also love these shorts from H&M and think we need at least one more color. They also run big, I went down a size and think they’ll fit for at least a few months. They even have an adjustable waistband.

Target has really good basic t-shirts right now. I bought this one, this one, this one and this one all in 12 month size. This one is super cute too. They’re a little big now but should fit for awhile.

I also picked up these shorts at Target, they’re similar to the H&M pair but you can never have enough basics.

We spend a lot of time outside and I like to keep a hat on his head as much as possible. This one is so cute and goes with most of his clothes.

He’s had this jacket since he was born but has outgrown it… I love it so much I got it in a bigger size so he can continue to twin with me and Crosby.

For sure I’m still loving Freshly Picked moccasins and these slip on checkered vans. Once he starts walking I’ll get him some more hard sole shoes.

Hope you have a great day – thank you so much for reading and following!

Holiday Family Pajamas

November 7, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

Two years ago when Crosby was just a baby we got matching family holiday pajamas. It was so fun for us all to match… even Mackie. They didn’t have any for dogs so we bought a toddler pair for her to wear. (I think we started a trend because now there are dog pj’s included in a lot of them.) Bonus, Crosby wore the toddler set last year. 🙂 And last year just Crosby and I had matching pjs, but it’s one of my favorite traditions this time of year. Holiday pjs always sell out FAST so today I wanted to do a round up for you in case you’re shopping for any.

I actually just ordered our family these. I love the red and white stripes for everyone and am excited to get Wilder into a pair this year!

I’m also loving this set – onesies for the whole family!

I love these tartan plaid sets. So festive!

These green and white striped onesies would be fun if you can get everyone on board…

Old Navy is another place I check for family pjs. They have so many cute ones this year.

These plaid pjs come in green and navy and red and black. So cute if your kids are toddlers or older.

This pair is darling for babies up to adults.

Hanna Anderson always has a really amazing selection.

I’m loving these and these.

I found several cute pairs from Rachel Parcell’s line at Nordstrom. A lot of these would be cute to coordinate/mix and match with.

This emerald green pair is my favorite. Would look so cute on both boys and girls and even adults.

Looking back at these pictures it’s so wild to see Crosby change from year to year. Can’t wait to continue this tradition with Wilder!

Thank you so much for reading and following – hope you’re having a great week!

Baby Leopard Costume

October 21, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

Happy Monday! Getting a later start today with this post but wanted to share the cutest little leopard… in case you didn’t see it on instagram yesterday. This costume was actually Crosby’s two years ago. She wore it when she made her TV debut with Jeff on Access Hollywood Live, in their kid’s Halloween costume parade.

on me: necklace, similar cardigan (here and here), similar shirt, jeans, similar mules, lip color

on Wilder: leopard costume, shoes

I knew Wilder needed to wear it this year so we did an early Halloween photo shoot. Crosby decided on her’s and Wilder’s actual Halloween costumes last month and I can’t wait to see how they (well mostly just Crosby) does on Halloween.

I wanted to share a major sale currently happening on baby and kid’s costumes and trick or treat bags over at Pottery Barn Kids. There are so many cute costumes for amazing deals right now.

on me: necklace, similar cardigan (here and here), similar shirt, jeans, similar mules, lip color

on Wilder: leopard costume, shoes

Hope you have a great week. Thank you so much for reading and following!

UPPAbaby Vista Double Stroller

August 27, 2019 by ashadmin 2 Comments

When I was shopping for strollers almost three years ago when I was pregnant with Crosby the UPPAbaby Vista stood out for so many reasons. But one huge reason was it was a stroller that was able to grow with your family and be used as a double stroller. I loved using it with just Crosby (you can see my first review here), but now that we have Wilder it’s perfect for both kids… and can be used several different ways.

We have the UPPAbaby Mesa car seat which is great and easily attaches to the Vista, I use this most when I’m out and about.

The Vista comes with two other seats, the bassinet and toddler seat. I love the bassinet and use it most for walks around the neighborhood. The toddler seat is what Crosby was in before Wilder came around and we’ll use again when Wilder is bigger.

To make the transition to two kids work with the Vista we got the rumble seat and the Piggyback board. Crosby is still a little young to ride on the Piggyback board but I know she’ll love it some day.

I’ve used a few different strollers through the years, but the UPPAbaby has always been my favorite. It’s really light weight and easy to use. Plus I love the storage option underneath. Whenever I’m out with another stroller I miss my UPPAbaby!

Some of the other accessories for the Vista: I have this stroller organizer that I love. We use this snack tray on the toddler seat. I also have the leather trim on the handlebar.

I wanted to share some photos of the different ways we’ve used it since Wilder was born. One he gets a little bigger he’ll be in the toddler seat above with Crosby in the rumble seat below.

Hope you have a great day – thank you for reading and following!
