Crosby Brave is nine months as of yesterday – crazy that in just three months we’ll be celebrating her first Birthday! I guess it’s time to start planning her party. This past month we’ve really seen her personality come out more and she started saying a couple of words. Dada and mama! She said dada first but says mama a lot more, so we’ll call that a tie.
I cannot believe we’re already a week in to the final month of the year! In a few weeks we’ll officially be in the winter season where our skin gets dry and we get sick. Or at least that’s what happens to me.
Summer isn’t really winding down around here… our hottest months are usually September and October. Even though we still have awhile before we’ll be breaking out the boots and jackets, I wanted to end the week by sharing some of my favorite summer finds. These are by no means limited to warm weather, just the little things I’ve been loving this season.
The first few weeks with a newborn are rough and nothing can really prepare you for it. When I was pregnant everyone told me to get all the sleep I could because once the baby arrived I’d be a zombie. And I did because I never had a problem sleeping or got to an uncomfortable stage in my pregnancy – I was lucky. However, once Crosby arrived I turned into that sleep deprived zombie everyone warned me about. It was hard to see it as temporary and imagine life on the other side.
Packing for a trip, even a short one, can be daunting. I always worry I’m forgetting something or will want to wear something I didn’t bring. Add in an infant and I get even more overwhelmed. Just the thought of being out of our comfort zone is scary. I’ve learned it takes a lot of pre-planning, whether that be outfits or comforting things for Crosby. I picked up on a little trick after first weekend away with little miss that I wanted to share.
