I’m such a beach girl and never need an excuse to put on a bathing suit and head to the beach. Ever. However, when I’m super excited about a cute new suit, I’ll turn Super Bowl Sunday into a pre-game beach day. Which is exactly what we did last weekend. Lucky for us the weather was perfect. 75 degrees without a cloud in the sky, while most of the east coast was braving for the 47th storm of the season. #sorrynotsorry

That brings me to this monokini from KOA Swim. I’ve always been a bikini girl and haven’t worn this style before, but let me tell you, it’s the best thing ever. The strip down the middle hides any sign of belly bloat and made me feel like a Sports Illustrated model frolicking along the sand. It’s also reversible so I get two fab suits in one. Such a score.

I think the best time to buy swimwear is at the end of the summer while the sales are going on and you’re not feeling pressure to find the perfect bikini. I’ve found so many great suits this time of year. This one from WET Swimwear was sent to me, but I love it so much I’d buy it if it wasn’t. While we were in Palm Springs last we snapped these shots by the pool at The Parker, I love how the vintage umbrellas correspond with my swimsuit.

Just like  I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’m currently obsessing over rompers. I wore this last weekend to a Birthday party on a hot day and stayed cool in this easy look. I got a lot of questions on instagram about this romper, unfortunately it’s from a local boutique and isn’t available online. I did find a few similar options… and ShopBop has a really great selection right now. I am loving this off the shoulder version from 6 Shore Road, you can never go wrong with a white romper in my book.

Last weekend the weather was weird. It went from sunny and warm to rainy and cold in a matter of minutes and I was caught in this ensemble. Luckily we were close to home so I could change but it’s never fun being unprepared.

This breezy bohemian look would do much better on a warm spring or summer day and I know I’ll repeat it again soon. I’m so obsessed with this crocheted cardigan/kimono… I’m even brining it to Palm Springs this weekend to pair over a bikini. I always love pieces that work in different settings and this is really one of them.
