I’ve been searching for fall dresses I can wear both to the office and out and about. This blush one was an instant favorite that I’ve already worn a handful of times, it also comes in two other colors that are perfect for the colder months.

Sometimes I have a difficult time with the shape of a swing dress on my body type. I’m on the petite side and can get a little lost in them. To combat this I tied my favorite chambray shirt around my waist to cinch the dress a bit, but it still looks cute on it’s own. continue reading

Chambray shirts are my life rafts. Anytime I’m in a wardrobe jam and don’t know what to wear I throw one on and feel instantly cool. There’s something so effortless yet still polished about them. I have a few different washes in my closet, but this one has been my long time favorite. It fits true to size (I’m wearing a 0 for reference) and is just so comfortable. I may be guilty of sleeping in it once or twice.

On another note, how are we almost through August? I feel like summer just started and now everywhere I look I’m seeing fall transitional pieces. I’m not quite ready for that yet. Not to mention where I live it will be HOT until November.  So strap in for my endless summer wardrobe. I may throw on a plaid shirt, denim jacket or booties here and there, but I’m not about to be sweating in seasonally inappropriate clothing for the sake of blog photos. 😉 continue reading

I’ll be the first to admit I’m really loving printed leggings right now. As I mentioned last week, I have a hard time working out unless I have cute workout clothes to motivate me. But aside from actually working out, I love wearing in a casual look like this and probably do too much. I love how they add a fun pop to an otherwise boring weekend outfit.

The start of a new year has me thinking about my current wardrobe. As I mentioned in this post one of my resolutions this year is to “shop smarter.” In order to do this it’s important to have a good idea what basics you have and what  you should add to maximize your closet. Before you buy anything new it’s a good idea to think of multiple ways you could style it. When I do that I always end up wearing the piece more and keeping it longer. Whenever I’m at a loss for what to wear I throw on a chambray shirt and black jeans. For me it works at the office, running errands or even dressed up with heels for a night out. I probably wear this at least twice a a week and it’s safe to say it’s a look I feel comfortable in all year round. What I like best about it is no matter how many times I wear this “uniform” my accessories completely change up my look.

For someone who lives in Southern California, I have a big collection of coats. This faux fur one is a fun option to throw on and instantly glam up your look. Bonus? It’s under $100. Last week we had record breaking low temperatures and all I wanted were cozy pieces. Of course this week we’re back to perfect 75 degrees and the coats are tucked away back in my cloffice. continue reading

I received a box of Tart Collections goodies a few weeks ago and this skirt was one of the first things that caught my eye. I always love a neutral skirt, but paired with a chambray shirt tied around my waist added a 90’s cool vibe. I played up the neutral with my other favorite, leopard and was ready for a night out. Side note: super bummed these Sole Society booties sold out last year but I found a really similar Dolce Vita pair that I just might need.
