Over the weekend we made a trip up to Northern California to visit family and friends. We spent Saturday in San Francisco so naturally we had to take some pictures there.
I don’t know what it is this year, but I have a major thing for coats and can’t stop buying them! Is #IHaveThisThingWithCoats a thing yet, or am I crazy? This gray one is just as cozy as it looks and saved me big time in the chilly temperatures.

Whenever I’m at a loss for what to wear I throw on a chambray shirt and black jeans. For me it works at the office, running errands or even dressed up with heels for a night out. I probably wear this at least twice a a week and it’s safe to say it’s a look I feel comfortable in all year round. What I like best about it is no matter how many times I wear this “uniform” my accessories completely change up my look.
For someone who lives in Southern California, I have a big collection of coats. This faux fur one is a fun option to throw on and instantly glam up your look. Bonus? It’s under $100. Last week we had record breaking low temperatures and all I wanted were cozy pieces. Of course this week we’re back to perfect 75 degrees and the coats are tucked away back in my cloffice.
Ever since the temperatures dropped and it suddenly felt like winter, I started dressing a little differently. Instead of jeans a top and maybe a light jacket, I’m now all about layering. I love mixing different textures like leather, denim and knit to create interesting looks. Of course it works great for the chilly weather too!
I’ve been loving all things mod as of late. This top from Zara totally has a mod flare that is so fun and relaxed yet still polished enough for the office, but my favorite part about it might be the leather detailing on the sleeves. I love pieces that are interesting enough on their own that they need little to no accessory help. Don’t get me wrong, I do love a statement necklace. Sometimes it’s just nice to keep it simple.
Right before Christmas the weather was crazy cold and I was layering up pieces to stay warm. Then Christmas day it was about 80 and now I’m back to wearing single layer clothing. But the cold was nice for a few days!
