In the winter I get sick of wearing pants everyday, even when it’s cold. So my solution has been dresses with jackets and layers, sometimes I throw on tights or over-the-knee boots if it’s really cold. I was able to brave it this day and wear my new floral dress with this suede jacket over. I have to admit, I was a little cold but it felt good to get out of my wardrobe rut. Plus it’s much more comfortable to throw a dress over the bump instead of pants.
When it comes to spring I don’t think there’s a more appropriate color palate than pastels. And this one is right in line with Pantone’s colors of the year, rose quartz and serenity.
I love dresses you can style a bunch of different ways. This one is cool enough to wear somewhere casual with sandals or booties and a denim jacket, or you can dress it up a bit like I did here. ILY Couture has a lot of dress options that have a similar vibe, I’m loving this one and this one for spring too. I still can’t get enough of these sandals and love how many times I find myself wearing them.
Happy Thursday – thanks for stopping by!
My lace/crochet obsession has officially crossed over to spring and it won’t be stopping anytime soon. This dress is a little different, I love the shape and obviously the color. Is it a surprise that pink is one of my favorite colors?
I wanted to wear this on Easter, but it’s since it’s a little on the short side I saved it for a different day. The length is fine when paired with flats, or even a low heel like I did here. I think it really cute for a bridal shower or brunch. I might pull it back out for one. I found these heels from a few years back while unpacking my closet after our move. I’d forgotten all about them so it’s like having a new pair of shoes. 🙂 They’re obviously sold out but J. Crew came out with a really similar/updated option that might be even cuter.
Hope you have a great last day of March – How is that even possible?! Thanks for reading. XO
I love a festive holiday, and even though I’m not Irish I think St. Patrick’s Day is a fun one to celebrate. When I was in elementary school my mom used to paint a shamrock on my cheek and I always thought that was so cool. This year I’ll be celebrating in a bikini and cannot wait!
I can’t say I’m fully embracing the “let’s dress like fall because it’s September” movement. But I am starting to think about certain pieces. When I get dressed for work in the morning it’s dark and cold. No matter what I wear I typically grab some kind of sweater before I walk out the door. I haven’t really invested in any new ones lately so I’m loving all cozy cardigans. I also love sweaters with open backs. I think they’re perfect for the “Indian Summer” type of weather we usually have for the next few months. And of course dresses that don’t scream “I’m going to the beach” are also topping my list. What’s on your radar as the seasons shift?!
