When I was pregnant one of the questions I was asked the most was if I was going to nurse my baby. I always answered, of course, what could be so hard?! I was so naive then. HA! Nothing prepared me for how hard breast feeding was. It’s really a full time job between learning how, getting the baby to latch and how often you have to do it, especially at first. Now that I’m three months in I feel like I’m finally starting to get it.
Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope you’re eating a lot of candy today – eat extra for me! #gestationaldiabetesproblems
I wore this pink dress over the weekend, we celebrated a little babymoon about an hour south in La Jolla. I can’t be too far from my doctor right now and this was the perfect escape, I’ll share more details from our weekend later!
We thought about going out to celebrate New Years since it’s our last one without a baby, but we eventually decided to stay in. I still wanted to get dressed up… I had a few too many days of post-holiday laziness in lounge wear. So I put on this new dress (it’s a little short right now due to the growing bump) with tights and that was enough for me.
I have a confession, I’ve had a growing obsession with lace dresses, specifically Self Portrait dresses, for far too long now. This isn’t anything new, but I feel like it’s time to dive in and dissect the problem.
Because we live in this social media crazed world where every night out with friends gets documented and then shared it’s hard to wear the same things to different events. Let’s be honest, no one wants to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress for your college friend’s wedding if you feel like you can’t wear it again. So I’ve done a little research and have found some of the best and most affordable dupes to these gorgeous dresses.
Are you into these dresses as much as I am?! Hope you have a great weekend!
