I always love finding cute Americana outfits for the kids… and myself. Memorial Day is right around the corner and 4th of July isn’t far behind. I’ve put together some inspiration for red, white and blue outfits.
4th of July has always been one of my favorite, if not favorite, holidays. It’s such a fun summer day… and I can’t believe it’s less than a month away. Our neighborhood goes all out for the holiday and does a huge parade in the morning. I ordered this kids outfits yesterday and came across so many cute options I wanted to share in a blog post.
on Crosby: dress
Last weekend we had our first batch of actual cold weather. We spent the majority of the time inside but Sunday afternoon after naps we decided to head out on a short walk and we really bundled up. Luckily the kids both had semi-appropriate clothing but this also forced me to go through our closets to purge what no longer fits and figure out what gaps we need to fill before it gets colder.
Crosby and I also never miss an opportunity to twin so I was even more excited that we had similar cozy pieces.
I bought these beanies for us over three years ago when she was just six months old. I purchased my first set in pink and then went back for the off white because I loved them so much. They’re only $13 and come in a few other colors too and are perfect for the winter/holidays. We’ve worn them a bunch since then… last year Crosby wouldn’t keep a hat on so Wilder got to wear them too. I even bought a second set but guess who doesn’t want to wear a hat this year?
Crosby’s jacket is from last year and is getting a little small. I’m currently eying this one that looks so cute and cozy. It’s more than I typically like to spend on her clothes, but I think if I size up she’ll probably be able to get two seasons of wear out of it.
I bought my coat on Amazon two years ago after seeing it on a few friends. It’s such a good buy; under $40, cozy and slightly oversized. I wore it all through my pregnancy with Wilder and still had room. It’s definitely the coat I reach for most when it’s cold.
This time of year I really start to crave spring and warmer weather. I absolutely love when stores start bringing out their spring merchandise and always feel like that means it’s just around the corner. I’ve been doing a lot of browsing lately and want to share what’s on my radar.
I first spotted these white toddler sneakers and loved the rainbow detailing/laces. Then I saw this pair for women too. They’re a major splurge but I found a way to sort of hack them and get the look for less. This pair of sneakers and these laces. Very close and under $100.
I’ve been going through Crosby’s closet lately and pulling out what doesn’t fit and decided to get her some new dresses for spring.
I’m loving all things tie dye right now. I found a few sweaters/pullovers that are super cute and all under $50.
I spotted (literally) these swimsuits for me and Crosby and had to get them. They’re actually from two different stores but the leopard prints are pretty similar. We were really lucky with warm weather last weekend and even got to wear them.
Hope your weekend was as relaxing and overindulgent as mine. Yesterday Jeff made me and Crosby Belgian waffles with coconuts and chocolate chips and a banana syrup, if that tells you anything. It’s honestly a miracle my pants will button. For Cyber Monday I want to share deals on some of my favorite items, hint my Uppababy stroller is on sale!
Did that get your attention? You can get $100 in rewards when you buy this stroller, or anything $300 or over on right now at Buy Buy Baby. These strollers almost never go on sale so it’s a great time to buy one… or another big ticket baby item on your list.
Other amazing sales & deals
GAP is also 50% off everything. Another one of my go-to’s for the kids.
Freshly Picked is still 30% off everything and 50% off if you sign up for their membership program (first month is free and you can cancel at any time) with code FPxAshnfashn
Minted has a great sale going on right now. I’ll definitely be taking advantage of it today and ordering our holiday cards.
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about product links on Instagram DM. In an effort to have an easy resource/keep them all in one place I thought I’d start a new blog series “As Seen On IG” where I link my frequently requested items. This might be monthly or weekly depending on how many questions I’m getting. Hope this will help!
