Overalls are a trend I was hesitant to re-visit for awhile. Towards the end of the summer I had a change of heart and picked up this fun tribal printed pair and am so glad I did. They are so versatile and just fun to wear! I think it’s safer to buy a printed pair if you’re a little timid on the trend – they tend to look more like a romper than overalls and you can always add layers.
In Southern California our summer doesn’t really start until the end of August. Come September, while the majority of the country is swapping their bikinis for boots and their cold brewed iced coffees for cozy pumpkin spiced lattes, we are trying to find ways to stay cool while avoiding looking like a sweaty schlep.
This blazer is such a unique piece. I love that I can throw it on over shorts and a tank for an evening out and instantly transform my look.
I was cleaning out my iphoto the other day and stumbled upon these pictures I took back in FEBRUARY but never posted! Although it’s summer now, this relaxed weekend look could still fly on a casual evening once the sun goes down.
Fellow bloggers, do you ever take pictures and forget to post them?
This high-low palm tree top was a Birthday gift from a great friend. I originally envisioned it as a coverup but I loved the way it looked with white shorts. It’s light and breezy which was perfect for the heat wave we had over the weekend. I tried out some new beach waves spray and as you can see it didn’t really do much to my naturally straight hair but rough it up a bit.
