Valentine’s Day Dresses

January 31, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

It’s no secret I love any reason to match with Crosby, but Valentine’s Day makes it even more fun! We are loving red right now… specifically our new red dresses. I mentioned I got Crosby this one last week and I picked up this red ribbed mini for me as well. Our weather was so perfect over the weekend we couldn’t wait to break them out to celebrate a little early.

on me: dress (in a striped print) jacket c/o, sunglasses, shoes

on Crosby: dress, shoes c/o

My dress is not maternity so I sized up one size. This has been what I’ve been doing with most things lately and something I get a lot of questions about. With stretchy dresses it’s an easy solution. If they have a zipper or not a lot of give you really have to try them on to find the best fit.

I found 4 other dress combos that I’m loving for Valentine’s Day. For both mom and mini.

  • I’m thinking about ordering this one for an event I’m going to next week. I like that it’s not your typical V-Day red or pink. They black and white heart print is something that can be worn all year round. And for your baby/toddler, I think this jumper would be so cute to wear with it. Still the heart print but a pop with pink and red.
  • I recently pulled my maternity clothes I wore when I was pregnant with Crosby down from the attic and re-discovered this dress. It’s still in stock and really flattering with a bump. I got Crosby this one to match and can’t wait to wear them together!
  • If you have fancier plans, I think this blush dress is so pretty. To coordinate, I found this one for your mini… and I mean, it’s the cutest ever.
  • Another look I love is this fun rose print romper. A pretty touch for Valentine’s Day and can definitely be worn into spring. Would be so cute paired with this blush lace dress for babies and toddlers.

What’s In My Online Shopping Cart

January 25, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

This week I thought it would be fun to share what’s in my online shopping cart. Aside from purchases for the nursery, with which I won’t bore you with again, I’ve been doing some damage online this week. Look away, Jeff!

I already mentioned in my post yesterday, but I got Crosby a bunch of cute things at Gymboree’s going out of business sale. This dress, these two t-shirts (1 and 2) and these socks.

Since my body seems to be growing by the day I’m getting a little bored with my clothing options. I ordered this dress from my post yesterday and this jumper. Hopefully it fits because I think it would be so cute to find a similar one for Crosby and wear them together.

You all know I’m obsessed with Freshly Picked moccasins. Crosby has worn them basically since birth and I’m getting baby boy set to do the same. He already has a few pairs in newborn sizes but I went ahead and got him started on size 1’s. I got mocs in honey and dark gray and oxfords in baby blue and black. And because I couldn’t resist, I got Crosby their new shearling lined mocs and these cute rose gold tennis shoes.

I’ve been wanting a pair of huggie earrings but didn’t want to spend a lot $$$. I saw this pair from Gorjana that are perfect and the price point is great too.

n:Philanthropy makes my absolutely favorite sweats and casual t-shirts. I’ve been living in them the past few months but they were starting to get a little short. #pregnancyproblems I needed some new ones to cover my bump. Love this tee, these joggers  and this pullover.

I found this adorable t-shirt while browsing Pinterest and couldn’t order it fast enough. It’s honestly the perfect shirt for pregnancy and I wish I had it earlier.

Thanks for reading – hope you have a great weekend!

Flirty Red Dress

January 24, 2019 by ashadmin 2 Comments

The weather is warming up and I’m getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit over here. Love a fun dress for V-Day and when I saw this one I knew it would be perfect. It’s not maternity and doesn’t have a lot of stretch so I went up 2 whole sizes and it actually fits great! This bump is getting so big, if I want to wear non-maternity I definitely need to size up.

sunglasses, denim jacket, dress c/o, similar shoes

I tracked down some other festive dresses that I think would be so cute with or without a bump #pregsandregs

  • This one is perfect and under $15. It comes in two colors and I think I want to order both.
  • Instagram’s favorite non-maternity maternity dress. Ha! But it’s so flattering pregnant or not. Love this color for Valentine’s Day.
  • A similar vibe to the one I’m wearing and only $20. Definitely size up if you’re pregnant.
  • This one is more of a rust color but I love the shape and the subtle ruffle at the bottom. And it looks so comfortable!
  • If you’re looking for something fancier, this one is a great option. I have it in a few colors and think it would definitely work with a bump too. Again, size up.
  • Obsessed with this one. The details are so dainty and pretty and love the print.
  • This one would be really cute with tights or boots if you live somewhere colder.

And because kids are even more fun to dress, I got this dress for Crosby. Gymboree is going out of business so I popped in the other day and picked up a few things. I also got her two cute t-shirts: here and here and these socks to match. Their sale is happening online too and there’s a lot for an additional 50% off.

2018

December 31, 2018 by ashadmin No Comments

Today I’m rounding up some of my favorite moments from 2018. I feel so lucky to have so many photos of everything that’s happened this year. That’s definitely one of the best parts of blogging. It was so crazy putting this post together and seeing Crosby grow each month. I can’t believe she’ll be two in just a couple of months and then a big sister a month later. Something tells me 2019 is going to be just as special. Thank you so much for following along and happy New Year!

Mommy and Me Matching Sweaters

October 9, 2018 by ashadmin No Comments

We arrived in Big Bear yesterday afternoon and walked right into picture perfect fall weather. It only took driving up the mountains to find it. Naturally Crosby and I took the opportunity to twin in our mommy and me matching sweaters. They actually aren’t a matching set, or even the same brand. I’ve had my sweater for years now but found Crosby’s at H&M a few weeks ago and knew it would match mine. These shoes were another matching coincidence… I bought mine and then realized Crosby had a super similar pair in her closet. Naturally I wanted us to wear our sweaters and shoes for a complete matching look on our first day of vacation.

on me: old sweater (similar), jeans, shoes

on Crosby: bow c/o, similar sweater, similar jeans, shoes

In the summer we were all about matching in coverups and swimsuits and now that it’s cooler I’m on the hunt for more cold weather things to twin in.

  • We wore these matching beanies last year in both pink and cream. I actually packed the cream set for Big Bear, but Crosby is going through a phase where she won’t keep anything on her head. Fingers crossed we can make it work.
  • These cold shoulder matching sweaters are the cutest! As are these with the eyelashes. And these floral printed slouchy sweatshirts.
  • I’ve been seeing this denim jacket set on instagram and am so obsessed. I think Crosby and I definitely need them. (For mom, for baby)

We don’t have any more matching outfits for this week in the mountains but I’m definitely keeping my eyes open for more, I’ll keep you posted. 🙂

Toddler Fall Fashion With Gymboree

August 27, 2018 by ashadmin 1 Comment

It’s been a long, hot summer around here and this little girl is more than ready for fall. Or at least she’s ready to dive into her new fall wardrobe. Crosby got a little preview thanks to Gymboree’s new fall line and is SO excited about the outfit she picked out.

I may have helped steer her in the direction of this corduroy jumper. Ok!! I picked it. Along with this crochet detail top and fun fringe booties.

Toddler fall fashion is on another level. I feel like I have my own little doll to dress up and take fully plan on taking advantage of the cuteness while she still lets me. Like, I might be dressing her in three different outfits per day just to make sure she gets to wear everything before she outgrows it. Plus, we had a hard enough time just deciding on one outfit to share from Gymboree’s fall line.

Hope these photos of Crosby #MadeYouSmile as big as she did when she got dressed… or started eating the fudgesicle.
