We’re in the middle of another summer heat wave and I’ve been trying to keep my style low-maintenance lately. That means lots of light pieces and this floral maxi dress is perfect for beating the heat. I’ve been on board with the off-the-shoulder trend for a few seasons but I think this one is my first OTS maxi dress. Sometimes it’s fun to bring out the show stoppers and this skirt is definitely one of them! A sequined, rose gold maxi? I think I’ve found my spirit animal in the form of a skirt! I got this top less than two weeks ago and have already worn it a few times. It’s one of those great summer pieces that goes with everything – while keeping you cool and looking chic. I love the off the shoulder cutouts and the best part is it’s so light and airy… perfect for this hot summer weather we’re experiencing.

Aside from that, here’s what I wore to try to beat the heat but not look like a total schlep on the red carpet. I found this f21 cut out dress a few weeks ago (it’s now sold out) and it was the perfect choice for being under a clear plastic tent in 90 + degree heat. Yes, it’s January and this is what we’re dealing with.
