I thought I’d start a fun new weekend series where I replay some of my first posts from when my blog had about four followers. And since this weekend has two main events: The Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo, it is the perfect time to circle back to those posts from last year.

finger parties are the new arm parties.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I am decked out in my most festive duds to celebrate. I love pink and red together but I decided to go for something a little different. I bought this top awhile back and realized how perfect it is for this holiday. Paired with my favorite XO rings and my adorable heart ring (gift from a friend) and I feel ready to take on the day.

 I got these shoes on a major sale at Target. Can you believe they were less than $10?!

I hope you all had a great Christmas! I’ve been enjoying my time off work by relaxing and taking a break from the computer.

This scarf is so warm and soft. I was so excited when I got it at a Stella & Dot event awhile back. Leopard is really such a neutral and  I love wearing it with all different colors.

I know! Tomorrow is the first day of December, but the weather in Southern California is all over the place. One weekend it’s warm, then it rains, then it’s cold and then it’s warm again. I still spend lots of time at the beach! Maybe you’re planning a tropical trip this holiday season or just want to really get a  jump on your spring travel wear.
