Happy almost New Year! We’ve decided to have a very low-key NYE… pj’s, pizza making, probably watching “When Harry Met Sally” and going to sleep before midnight #pregnantproblems and honestly I couldn’t be happier about it. Hope you have something fun planned whether it’s a dressy night out or a just staying home. I wanted to end the year with one last Instagram recap of the month.
I feel like sequins are mandatory around the holidays – or at least more mainstream than the rest of the year. I’ve had a pair of sequin sweat pants for a few years now that I love to break out this time of year. There’s something so festive about them… even if I’m just wearing them on my couch with slippers.
In college and the years that followed my friends and I would go all out for New Years Eve. We’d dress up and usually spend the night celebrating with take out and plenty of champagne at someone’s house, it was much easier than dealing with crowded restaurants, clubs and cabs (the days before uber).
On our way out to Vegas I noticed these colorful rocks right outside the city and told Jeff we were stopping there on the way home. I’d seen them on instagram a few times and wanted to see them in person. The exhibit is called Seven Magic Mountains and it’s made up of these amazingly bright colorful rocks. You can find more information about them here if you’d like to visit.
