As you may have read in my ‘A New Mom’s Favorite Gadgets’ post, “Roomby” the Roomba has recently become the fifth member of our family.
In the later months of my pregnancy, a few complications had me both tired and being careful about how much I did around the house. This was perfect timing to team up with iRobot around their Roomba 980 vacuum!
I can’t believe today is our first anniversary. It feels like we just got married yesterday and years ago at the same time. Our first year was so busy and fun!
We traveled a lot… Mexico, New York, Las Vegas, Palm Springs (multiple times), Arizona, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. We bought and remodeled our first house together. Might be the last too, because after it I swore I was never moving again. We worked hard building our businesses and celebrated every accomplishment along the way.
I read somewhere that art is the jewelry of the home and I loved that. I’m hoping to add a few pieces to our collection. I’ve had my eye on this Gray Malin print for too long now. Another big purchase that I think is also like jewelry is a sputnik chandelier. I have my eye on this one right now for our dining room.
It’s been a crazy busy past few months and if you’ve been following me on instagram or snapchat (ashnfashn) you might have seen it’s because we bought a house! We started looking shortly after we got married last summer and looked at a lot of houses. So many that if you’re in the market in the Orange County area, let me know so I can give you all the tips I picked up.
After many months, we finally agreed on one and plugged the trigger. We closed right before Thanksgiving and moved in that weekend. Side note: not an ideal time to move.
It’s been quite the weekend +. After moving just over three weeks ago, we decided to fence in our front yard (catch a peak behind me) last weekend and it was no easy fete! It’s not quite finished yet but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Stay tuned for more pics.
I have been searching for a lighter wash denim for what seems like years now. I finally decided on these Rag & Bone beauties. I have really short legs (and a long torso) so I like to go with the ankle cropped style to flatter my body. I’m also embracing my current favorite color pallet – beige and blush, I’m really all about the neutrals lately.
