Finally!! I’ve been meaning to share a full nursery tour since Crosby was born almost 5 months ago but things happened and it kept getting pushed back. It was one of my favorite projects when I was pregnant and we are loving the way it turned out. Her room is by far my favorite in the house, I love how light and bright it is.
Happy Monday! It’s been a crazy few weeks over here adjusting to our new addition. With each day that passes it feels like we’re starting to get into more of a routine and everything gets a little easier… except the lack of sleep – but that’s to be expected. We were even able to get out in public as a family this weekend, it was a success because Crosby slept through the whole outing. 🙂
It’s been a crazy busy past few months and if you’ve been following me on instagram or snapchat (ashnfashn) you might have seen it’s because we bought a house! We started looking shortly after we got married last summer and looked at a lot of houses. So many that if you’re in the market in the Orange County area, let me know so I can give you all the tips I picked up.
After many months, we finally agreed on one and plugged the trigger. We closed right before Thanksgiving and moved in that weekend. Side note: not an ideal time to move.
We’re not really “living” in the house yet. We’re in the middle of a full renovation and have been
camping glamping in our master suite for the past month plus. All of our belongings except for a few bedroom pieces are stored away and our house is a dusty, concrete mess.
Hopefully we will be done with the renos in the next month or so. I miss my stuff and having a normal life… not to mention a husband who isn’t consumed by projects! Fingers crossed it’s sooner than later.
Because this is like the most glamorous post I’ve ever written (ha), I wanted to share some decor inspiration too.
I’ll be sharing more of this process as we make more progress. Thank you so much for reading and following this fun new chapter.
I’m excited to share some more details from our house, I first showed a glimpse shortly after we first moved in. It seems like even though it’s been over six months since we moved, we’re still doing projects and getting settled. We recently made over our patio and I’ll share those details soon. For now, check out the house and let me know what you think.

Last Monday I shared pictures of my entry way, kitchen and dining room. This week it’s all about the living room. When I’m home, I spend most of my time here and love the way it came together. My gas fireplace turns on with a switch which is so simple and perfect when it’s cold and I don’t want to use the heater.
I bought this sectional from Jennifer Convertibles about four years ago when I was living in an apartment with one of my best friends. It was my first grown up furniture purchase. I’m so happy I went with a neutral color and love it’s tufted structured-ness. They still have a few similar options on their site.
This console table was the last thing I bought for the room. I hunted for a mirrored table for months before deciding it would just be too much with all my mirrors and chandeliers. So I picked up this one from Ikea, it was the same brand as my coffee table.
I wanted a chic way to display some of my clutches, so I bought a big vase and stuffed in a few that are show-off worthy. It’s a fun touch.
Next week I’ll share my bedroom and bathroom. Stay tuned!
I have showed glimpses of my condo before: here, here, here, here, here and here. But I thought it was time to give a proper home tour. I’ve been living here for almost two years and I love it. As if things couldn’t get better, one of my best friend recently bought the unit next door… it’s like having a roommate without having a roommate if that makes sense.
Anyway, I looked for the perfect place for close to two months but it felt like two years because I was devoting every waking free moment to it. I was obsessive about checking MLS listings online and made my realtor take me to every open house in Los Angeles. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit but I was so happy to find this place and feel like I really lucked out. Side note, if anyone in LA needs a realtor, I’ve got you covered. Second side note, my photog and DSLR were gone so I took these with my little point and shoot.
Take a peak at part one, my entry way, kitchen and dining room…
I keep my countertops very clean of clutter. I have plenty of storage space and excess stuff stresses me out. I’m a little OCD at times.
Another thing I lucked out on were the upgrades. I changed paint colors, lighting and the floor but everything else was done by the previous owners. Although I had dreams of an all white kitchen and practically gave my dad a heart attack when I told him I was going to replace these nice cherry cabinets with white, I’ve grown to like them.
Since I don’t have an office, I do my blogging from my dining room. Usually my laptop is at the head of the table, but I cleaned it up for the pictures.
Check back the following two Mondays for parts 2 and 3 of my home tour.
