Even though this was a short week with the holiday – the past two days have been extra long. I feel like I’ve done a week’s worth of work in 48 hours! There are two reasons for this – the Emmy’s are next weekend so work is CrAzY and we’re heading out of town today for a family wedding so we’ve been scrambling to do last minute errands and things to get ready. I’m so excited for a weekend of celebrating that starts today!

Oh hello there Thursday Cinco de Mayo! This is always a fun day at work (we typically have food demos, Mariachi bands and the works on the show) and I’m sure a lot of you are celebrating too!

I wore this little short suit over the weekend but wish it was warm enough to wear it again today. There’s just something so polished about a short suit, and until now, I didn’t have a printed one. Serena & Lily has some really cute pieces in their apparel line. How perfect would this dress be for graduation or a spring party? It also comes in white for all you brides-to-be. Wish I had it last year!

This Monday came a little too soon for my liking. We had another productive weekend doing things around the house and I’m excited to be that much closer to having everything DONE.

This LBD is a bit different from what I’d normally pull, but I’m loving it’s casual easy-breezy vibe. I’m not gonna lie, a drop-waist kind of intimidated me at first. I’m 5’4″ with a long torso and short legs and I thought it would just draw attention to that. Instead of taking the easy way out and pairing it with high heels, I decided to do the opposite and wear flats. I think it’s safe to say I concurred my drop-waist fear. Bring it on!

A sizing note… I love how Banana Republic gives you “Regular,” “Tall” and “Petite” options. I went with Petite and the length was perfect. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re under 5’5″.

Less than one week until spring’s official start but that’s not stopping me from bringing out some pieces a little early. I think this top will be perfect in the spring and summer with white shorts. There’s something about nautical stripes that I can’t pass up… well, any stripes really!

Can you believe it’s officially fall? I can’t, but our current heat wave isn’t helping the situation. I’m trying to find creative ways to sneak my new fall purchases into my daily outfits.

These shoes have been on repeat the last few weeks. They’re comfortable and perfect for work or house hunting (what my life consists of lately). Another new fall fav is this off the shoulder sweater.
