I’m especially excited for Easter this year and it’s hard to believe it’s just a few weeks away! Last year we were only a few weeks into the lockdown and spent a gloomy and cold Easter at home. This year we already have a few egg hunts on the calendar and some other fun Easter activities to look forward to. I’ve been thinking about what we’ll wear and put together a rundown of dresses I’m loving for me, for Crosby and shirts for Wilder too.
I’m such a warm weather girl and spring and summer are my favorite seasons. If it’s cool or rainy for any real length of time I’m not myself. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve gotten a few new spring pieces that I’m excited about. It’s been a little chilly here lately and all I want is for it to warm up so I can wear them!
I wore this dress to a mommy and me tea party a few weeks ago and then again on Mother’s Day. It’s such a fun statement. Mine was gifted by Allison New York and I can’t find it online, however Chicwish makes a version of it that looks practically identical which I’ve linked.
This top! It’s even prettier in person. I can’t wait to wear it with cutoffs this summer, but for now I wore it inside with my stretchiest pair of jeans and instantly felt happier.
The prettiest dress I’ve seen in awhile. This would work for so many occasions. Dressed up for a wedding, for a bridal or baby shower with wedges or more casually with a denim jacket and sneakers.
I wore this dress in Palm Springs a few weeks ago when our best friends got engaged. It’s such a cute mini with ruffles at the sleeves and hem. I went for “Palm Springs casual” with slides here but it’s also something that could be dressed up and worn to multiple occasions.
Another dress I absolutely love and can’t wait to wear out of my house. You have to see the back of this one… it criss-crosses and laces up in the prettiest way.
I wore this fun green midi to a friend’s birthday at a bar a few weeks ago. It was actually Jeff and my first time away from both kids since we had Wilder and I definitely enjoyed that glass of rose. Midi skirts have really been having a moment lately and I love that this one is a little different. The green is so fun for summer.
Hello and happy Thursday! I think this is my first official outfit post since having Wilder last month. Life with two kids is no joke, I’m slowly starting to get back into the swing of things. A couple of weeks ago we went to Palm Springs for the night to celebrate some of our best friends getting engaged. I was really excited to bring some new spring pieces I’d been wanting to wear – like this cute striped dress. I love the ties at the shoulder and the fit is amazing – I’m wearing a small and it fit my postpartum body really well. I’m still a little self-conscious of the slow shrinking of my mid section (I swear it went away sooner the first time), but I think this dress disguised it.
We were only in Palm Springs for one night but I managed to pack several dresses. I wore this yellow mini dress to the dinner, this black maxi dress to breakfast the next day and I even wore this yellow maxi a bit (seen here). I can never pass up an excuse for a cute dress… especially when I know the weather will cooperate.
We’re in the thick of May gray over here but I’m really looking forward to the return of spring hopefully sooner than later. I can’t wait to dress like this on the regular… and return to spending our days in the sunshine.
I’ve officially reached the point in this pregnancy where unless it’s absolutely necessary I’m not going to wear pants/jeans. Leggings or dresses from here on out. I was so excited to get this pretty blue floral maxi in from Gal Meets Glam that I wore it out to dinner Saturday night. What you can’t see from these photos is that is was maybe 59 degrees and super windy. I don’t know what was blowing around more, my hair or my pregnancy double chin. But I was committed to my dress only cause and tried to think warm thoughts.
This dress is even prettier in person. I wish I could have taken my jacket off to show you the sleeve detail, but my goose bumps might have been a bit distracting. I went with blue for my baby boy on the way, but it also comes in a really pretty pink floral print. I’m thinking it might be a good Easter dress option – that is, if I’m not in labor! For sizing, it’s not maternity and I sized up to a 2. Fits great!
There are some other really pretty dresses and jumpsuits from the March collection. This one would also be cute with a baby bump. I’m loving this jumpsuit and this one… can’t wait to wear them again!!
I was also so excited when I saw this jacket is back. I got it last spring and was obsessed with it – still am – and know I’ll be wearing it a ton this year. It’s one thing I can actually fit into now… as long as I don’t have to button it closed. It looks really cute with white denim too… a look I can’t wait to recreate soon.
What day is it? Is anyone else in a post-Christmas fog? The days between Christmas and New Years always seem to blend into a weird haze and I never really know what to do with myself. This year I’m being lazy and productive… the best of both worlds. Jeff’s been cleaning out the garage and once he finishes that we’ll be tackling the guest room. But let’s move on to what I’m wearing.
I wore this gorgeous Cleobella maxi dress to an event at their store a couple weeks ago. Jeff and Crosby tagged along and we were able to shoot it at their pretty space. The dress is not maternity, but I went up a size and it fit perfectly with my bump. I was 22 weeks pregnant here (I’m 24 now) and seem to be getting bigger by the day. The holiday indulging I’m sure doesn’t hurt that… ha.
There are some really great post-holiday sales happening now and I wanted to share my favorite items that I own all on sale. This dress is 45% off making it just over $50. Perfect for NYE. I have this top in a few different colors and it continues to be a fav in my closet. Currently on sale for $34. This fun striped sleeve sweateris on major sale with code GOBIG. This square neck sweater is marked down to $30, it’s such a great basic. I love this coat, it’s so pretty and a fun statement and currently 50% off. My favorite metallic silver moto jacket is 55% off, making it just over $150. Another fun piece for NYE. This pretty duster is currently under $40. And lastly, these booties are currently under $70.
It’s still pretty warm here, but I’m trying to start to transition my wardrobe to fall, little by little. The easiest way to do that is with color. This maxi wrap dress was the perfect starting point. The jewel tones in the floral print make it seasonally appropriate and it’s still light and airy. I wore my denim jacket over it in the evening when it got a little cooler to snap these shots.
I’m still wearing a few of my favorite summer pieces… like this bamboo bag and these fun slides. I think they work for fall when paired with the right things.
This was another dress I considered for an event we have this weekend. But I got a fun delivery the other day with this dress that I think is the new winner. I also feel like I’ve been wearing a lot of maxi dresses, so this one is a fun way to change it up. I love the color and the long sleeves are fun! Plus the neck tie gives you a few different ways you can wear it. It also comes in black, if the mustard is too out there for you. I’m sure we’ll take pictures so I’ll let you know what dress I end up wearing!
I feel like I’ve been a day ahead of myself this whole week and not in a good way. I woke up Tuesday thinking it was Thursday and it’s been downhill since then. I’m trying to fill the days with fun things for Crosby because that usually helps turn the week around. It seems to be working for now… but we’re still counting down to Friday evening.
