November Top 5

December 1, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

We survived another month of 2020 and now we’re really in the homestretch. I’m not sure how a year that feels so slow can still be moving this fast, but here we are! I definitely didn’t get much holiday shopping done during the cyber sales but I will be buckling down on that soon. In the meantime, it’s the first of the month which means it’s time to share my top 5 best sellers from last month.

J. Crew Collarless Sweater Blazer – For the third month in a row, the coatigan makes the list. I’m happy to see everyone is liking this cardi as much as I do! It’s such a great staple and it goes on sale pretty regularly (still 50% off today). I have it in camel and gray and wear them both frequently.

Geometry Towels – My absolute favorite dish towels! These were on sale for 15% off over the weekend + you were able to stack my discount code (ASHNFASHN15) for an additional 15% off. That sale is over now, but my discount code always works. They sold so many they’re not backordered until the middle of January! They make the best gifts, I stocked up so I can have them on hand for teachers, neighbors, etc.

Black Outdoor Bar Stools – After we completed our outdoor bar at the end of summer I knew we needed stools for the space. I found these on Wayfair and love them! They’re metal and can be cleaned so easily, but they’re still light enough to move around.

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings – These leggings are so flattering and really hold everything in. They’re a bit pricey but go on sale a couple times a year. I was lucky enough to snag them last year during the cyber week sale and have been so happy with them. I wore them weekly last winter and so much during the first few months of quarantine.

Baby Boy Cardigan – I purchased this cardi for Wilder at H&M back in October for family photos and die over how cute he looks in it. I’ve since gone back for the darker gray one as well so he can wear them all fall and winter. They’re comfy (sweatshirt material) but run really big. He’s 19 months and wears a 9-12 month for reference.

October Top 5

November 3, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

Hello November! I know every year goes by faster than the one before it but it seems like we sneeze after Halloween and then it’s Christmas. So crazy how fast time moves. Last month I started sharing my top five best sellers of the month and thought I’d keep it up for October too. It was all over the month last month, rugs, toddler activities, a tank top, etc. Let’s break it down.

  1. Wilder’s nursery rug – this has been a hot item every month but seemed to really explode in October. I went back and forth with a rug for the room and finally decided on this one and couldn’t be happier. I love the texture it adds and the price point is great too.
  2. Scoop neck tank – I picked up two of these last month, one in black and one in white and have worn them non stop. It’s only $10 and comes in a few different colors and is such a great basic.
  3. Sesame street garden – I’ve had this for months but waited for the perfect time to use it with Crosby. We planted it a few weeks ago and she had so much fun doing it. It was really simple and toddler friendly. She loves checking the progress daily and watering it. Such a cute toddler activity!
  4. Striped jumpsuit – This was my top seller in September and back on the list for October. It’s such a good one! Sadly it was so popular that it sold out. However, there are a couple others from the same brand that are super similar. Here and  here
  5. Living room rug – Another rug! This one has been in our living room since last winter. It’s such good quality and, again, a great price point. Love the moroccan vibe it brings to the room.

So there’s the top five from October! Thank you so much for reading and following.

A Peek At My Thanksgiving Table

November 9, 2018 by ashadmin No Comments

This year I wanted to create a boho table scape for Thanksgiving. I’m not hosting, but I thought it would still be fun to pull together some pieces I already had for this. Styling a table is another fun way to be creative and dress something up. Plus I love an excuse to show off our dining room table that Jeff built. 🙂

china, napkins, napkin rings, glasses, table runner, similar pumpkins, chairs

Just don’t look too closely… we still don’t have chairs on one size of the table. Jeff planned to build a bench, but I’m still undecided. We might just buy three more of the rose gold chairs from Anthropologie for an easy fix.

Back to the table scape…

I bought fresh dried lavender and eucalyptus at Trader Joes to get it started. Now my house smells so fresh, I’m reminded why I need to have lavender on hand more often. The glasses and napkin rings are a World Market find and I had everything else already. I also love an excuse to bring out our wedding china. It seems silly that a big purchase like that is only used once or twice a year… if you’re lucky. Ours has been used once in three and a half years. #oops I also want to talk about this macrame table runner. I found it on a crazy sale at Anthro awhile back. I think someone bought it and returned it so they marked it way down. I love a good find like that and it’s been on my table ever since. I’ve loved styling it for fall and think it will be really pretty at Christmas time too. Maybe with some other greenery or my new obsession, fairy lights.

Thanks for reading – hope you have a great day and weekend!

Free People Chunky Cardigan

November 1, 2018 by ashadmin No Comments

And just like that it’s November. Don’t blink or it will be 2019. Over the weekend I posted an IG story wearing this outfit and got lots of questions about my chunky cardigan. It’s the Free People Sunday Morning cardigan and I purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Sadly, it’s mostly sold out in this light grey color but it’s fully stocked in black here and a few other colors here. I actually spotted this cardi last year in a pretty blush shade, but I didn’t get it before it sold out so I made sure to snap it up when it came back for the sale.

on Crosby: jumpsuit, shoes c/o

An outfit like this is perfect for fall in Southern California. It’s chilly in the mornings and evenings and warm in the afternoon. Layers are 100% necessary. I love this tank for layering. It’s from one of my favorite brands and it’s super comfortable for lounging around the house or running around town.

Do you see my little sidekick with her fingers in her mouth? Poor girl is hardcore teething and sometimes that’s the only thing that soothes her. We tried taking these pictures without her but she just wasn’t having it and had to jump in for a few.

She looked super cute in this jumpsuit I found on Amazon. I’ve found so many cute pieces for here there. A lot of times Prime isn’t available so they take a few weeks to come, but they’re worth it! One tip is to always size up because a lot of things run small.

Insta Lately

December 2, 2016 by Ashley No Comments

And just like that it’s December – I just can’t believe it! November went by so quickly and I know this month will go even faster with the holidays. We knocked a lot of baby things off our list last month… like making a serious dent on the nursery (this is the rug we chose) and I’m excited to keep it going. We’re off to Vegas today for an early little babymoon and I’m so excited to see it done up for the holidays. Before I go I wanted to share some of my instagram highlights from the month of November.
