The first few weeks with a newborn are rough and nothing can really prepare you for it. When I was pregnant everyone told me to get all the sleep I could because once the baby arrived I’d be a zombie. And I did because I never had a problem sleeping or got to an uncomfortable stage in my pregnancy – I was lucky. However, once Crosby arrived I turned into that sleep deprived zombie everyone warned me about. It was hard to see it as temporary and imagine life on the other side.
I’ve always loved a good PJ set and have been all about lounge wear the past month. Probably three out of five days you can find me in either lounge wear or workout clothes and no makeup. #momlife I’ve been drawn to really comfortable pieces because most of my days are spent at home with the baby.
In college and the years that followed my friends and I would go all out for New Years Eve. We’d dress up and usually spend the night celebrating with take out and plenty of champagne at someone’s house, it was much easier than dealing with crowded restaurants, clubs and cabs (the days before uber).
I wake up for work at 5 am, which is just as early as it sounds. It’s definitely not fun to wake up in the dark, but over the years I’ve morphed into a morning person. I’m most productive in the morning… especially after a full night sleep! Over the years I’ve picked up some tricks that make it a bit easier.
