You may have seen me wear this white crop top and matching skirt set back in May at my bachelorette party on instagram, but it’s so great I brought it back out for more fun. We took these pictures the weekend before the wedding and I had high hopes of posting them while I was away. However, with all the last minute craziness time got away from me and I’m just getting around to posting them.

Advice for anyone currently planning a wedding… get as much done ahead of time as possible. The week of is stressful enough, don’t add to it by trying to start/finish projects. Easier said than done, right? I don’t think we slept very much leading up to the big day but it all ended up paying off. Can’t wait to share more from our wedding soon! continue reading

Welcome Monday! I’m so excited because it’s my wedding week! Part of me feels like we’ve been planning for years and part of me feels like we just got engaged yesterday. It’s super surreal that it’s almost here and I’m so excited!

I thought I’d kick off this week with a little white romper. I actually ordered this a few months back to wear to my first shower but it didn’t arrive on time. All was fine and I ended up wearing this dress that I loved just as much. But back to this romper, I’d never seen one quite like this (and I have A LOT of rompers), the ruffle detail was what sold me. I’m actually planning on wearing this the day after our wedding to our family brunch.

Anytime Nordstrom has a sale you know it’s going to be good. I like to time big purchases around their major sales. I don’t have any big plans to splurge but there are still lots of great items marked down 40%! This sale lasts until the 31st, however the best pieces always seem to sell out the fastest. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites. For my talk about wedding planning over the past (almost) year, I thought it was time to share a wedding guest outfit post. I didn’t actually wear this to a wedding last weekend but I told Jeff I will definitely (most likely) wear it to the next one we’re invited to. I love the berry color and lace detailing. Paired with leopard and rose gold it would definitely stand out in sea of cocktail dresses.

I’m also loving it in this dusty rose color and think it would look just as chic with flat sandals this summer. continue reading

I’ve been holding onto this set for a few months and it has killed me not to wear it. But I knew it would be perfect for a bridal shower and wanted to save it. Last weekend I got to break it out and it was the perfect set for my second shower and I had so much fun wearing it.

I’m really into sets right now, in case it’s not obvious. There’s something so flattering about a crop top paired with a high-waisted midi skirt. They hide all my flaws and accentuate my best features… ie. my waist feels twice as small when I wear them. Who doesn’t love that?!

Our last day in New York we had the whole day to play tourist and wander aimlessly around the city. Our fitbits really got a workout and we both said how in shape we’d be if we lived there. Now that we’re home I’m trying to get in the habit of taking more walks… at least around our neighborhood.

I stayed comfortable in my favorite denim jacket and really had to fit the wind with my hat. I wore it without realizing how windy it was because I needed to hide my dirty hair. Am I the only one who really stretches the amount of time between shampoos? #lazygirlproblems continue reading
