There are so many facial brushes on the market right now – those that promise to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, unclog your pores, exfoliate like nothing else, you get the idea. I’ve tried a few of them over the years and found out they’re not all created equally. I wanted to share some insight in case you’re in the market for one.
I can’t believe how fast this year is going by, before we know it we’ll be in the thick of the holidays! So crazy. Anyway I wanted to give a little update from photos I posted on my instagram recently in case you’re not following there. I regularly share photos of my every day outfits that don’t always make the blog.
You can click on the product image to shop the look.
Hope you have an easy Monday – thanks for reading!
With the new year I wanted to create more beauty content and feature products I love and can’t live without. First up I thought I’d share my current favorite makeup products. I love to try out new products but am pretty
safe simple and tend to go back to my usual lineup. Recently I’ve discovered a couple new products and am happy to add them to my regimen.
I like my face to look clean and natural but I love a glow. I’ve been feeling so pale this winter so I’ve dug out my beloved bronzer. Who am I kidding, I never put it away! I love to look a little sun kissed and go way lighter in the stroke in the winter.
I’m pretty low maintenance on my eyes. To me the most important thing is mascara. I’ve blogged about this one before but it’s my fav. You can’t beat the price either and can find it just about anywhere. I don’t wear eye shadow unless I’m going out at night but when I do I like bronzey brown shades to make my blue eyes pop.
I love a bold red lip, but because my mouth is on the bigger side it mades me look a little clownish. Luckily I love a natural looking pink lip too. I’ve been using Sugar for years but recently my friend Kathleen got me into this Urban Decay color. The name doesn’t lie, I am obsessed!
Have a great weekend.. thanks for reading!
I don’t know if you’ve been near a mall lately, but holiday madness has already taken over and made them unshopable. I don’t want to deal with the parking, the crowds and the lines! I’ve resolved to do all of my shopping online this year… it’s much better on my health. Last week I shared my first holiday gift guide for all the homebody’s in your life and now I’m glamming it up. The best part? Everything is under $100!
This guide is for the product junkie. We all know one; their hair is always perfect, they mastered the cat eye before anyone else and they always have 16 lipsticks in their purse. Instead of resulting to getting them a Sephora gift card, surprise them with some of their favorite things… before they are their favorite things.
It’s been a year since I first discovered BB cream and about nine months since I began posting about it (at this point it should have it’s own category on here) and now scientists and cosmetologists and chemists and the like have gone and topped it… or at least tried to.
Enter CC Cream.
Billed as “an improved and refined BB cream,” it was originally formulated in Germany and has recently gained a big following in Asia (much like BB) and is making its way to Europe and the US for it’s miracle skin-regenerating properties.
I mean, I didn’t even know we needed to improve the BB but I get what they’re saying and appreciate what they’re trying to do. So I did what any reputable fashion and beauty blogger would do, I searched for it high and low and when I couldn’t find it at my Sephora, Ulta, CVS or Target I ordered it.
Well guess what? It’s exactly like BB cream.
Save your $$$.
