I can’t believe it but I have another post from our honeymoon in Mexico. I almost forgot about these pictures! We shot them one of our first days at The Jashita Hotel in Tulum (read more about my hotel recs here). Like a lot of the outfits I packed, I’d been saving this dress (it’s on sale for under $15 right now!!) for our honeymoon. Something about the off-the-shoulder summer trend combined with the lace detailing screamed Tulum to me.

I’m not really a maxi dress person. I realize how lame that sounds next to pictures of me wearing one, but they’re really tricky on my body! I’m not that tall and can get a little lost in clothing where too much fabric is involved. I’ve always been envious of my taller friends who can wear the trend without worry. However, once in awhile I try on one that works… like this blue and white number.

This is the perfect dress for the dog days of summer when you want to wear as little as possible and still look pulled together. It’s super light weight and breezy… as you can see by the way the wind carried it in these photos. continue reading

Are you sick of seeing pictures from our honeymoon yet?! I promise I’m almost done and will get back to regular pics in my neighborhood soonish. That sounds so boring after our 10 day trip, but I digress. I wore this little neon set for dinner our last night at the Blue Diamond. I cannot say enough great things about the resort. I’ve never stayed at an all-inclusive resort before, but this is not at all what I thought it would be like. I pictured buffets and mediocre food, but we had course after course of the best cuisine from all over the world. I could never get sick of tacos and guac, but with all the options it would be impossible to! continue reading

For the past few months I was semi hoarding things to wear in Mexico. When this dress showed up I quickly stashed it away and was so excited to finally wear it. It’s a little more daring than I usually go for, but with the help of a little double stick tape, it was perfect for dinner over looking one of the cenotes at our first resort.

The plunging neckline on this dress reminds me of this tropical one I wore on my Birthday last year while in Palm Springs. Vacations are always a fun place to be a little more daring, bold and adventurous with your style. continue reading

This blue and white set was the perfect thing to pack for Mexico. Matching separates are an easy go-to for the resort wear look. For the most part of the trip I kept my hair straight and did minimal makeup, humidity in the jungle has it’s own agenda and I didn’t want to spend too much time getting ready to end up a sweaty mess.

I’m a sucker for a scalloped detail. This is the perfect summer dress and the scalloped neckline makes it even better. I used to wear a lot of this color aqua but haven’t in awhile and forgot how much I love it. I’ll definitely be wearing more sea foam tones this season.

Is this week killing anyone else? Between my super swamped work schedule and last minute wedding things I feel like I’m losing my mind. Luckily we’re halfway through it. Mercury is definitely in retrograde. continue reading
