Who’s ready for the long weekend?! I know I am. Between a crazy work week and trying to tie up loose ends for the wedding, I feel like this week has been the longest ever. I’m really looking forward to a few relaxing days (well as relaxing as it gets three weeks before your wedding).

My obsession for palm leaf printed things continues with this dress. When I first got it I was a little unsure about it since it’s so form fitting. I typically like things a little looser (I went the extreme opposite yesterday). I always encourage others to step out of their comfort zone and try something new, so that’s what I did and loved it.

I read an article the other day about the things a woman should have by the age 30. I loved it and agreed with everything, but I’d like to add something. A signature look. We all need an outfit we can throw on when we’ve hit snooze too many times and are late to a meeting, but still want to look and feel our most confident.

For me that look is a high-waisted a-line skirt, blouse and ankle strap heels. It just works with my body type. I’m petite, (5’4″) but have a long torso and shorter legs, but this combo works for me, makes my body look proportionate and I turn to it over and over again. continue reading

Last month my two best friends, mom, future mother-in-law and a couple other friends all helped through a bridal shower for me. It was my first shower and every detail was perfect. They all know me so well and got so creative with the pineapple and flamingo theme. I wish I’d taken more pictures but I was too mesmerized by all their touches.

The pineapple looking appetizer up there? It was a delicious goat cheese dip garnished with pecans and a real pineapple top. The cake tasted as good as it looked, which is saying a lot because I’m not really a cake person. Seriously… my wedding cake has a lot to live up to. continue reading

I may as well call this matching separates week over here because I’m back with yet another! This pink top and skirt set from Chicwish is so perfect for spring and my favorite bubble gum shade of pink. The top is a bit sheer so I layered a bralette from Nordstrom under to avoid showing it all. The material is really thick and stayed in place even thought it was painfully windy when we shot this. My hair is another story… #hotmess

Since I’m such a pineapple lover, this matching set was an easy purchase. I’m loving everything about coordinating sets this season… they’re a chic way to get away with basically wearing pajamas. I wore this one Friday on the way to Palm Springs for my bachelorette party and matched all the pineapple and flamingo decor. My two best friends did an amazing job planning and we had a blast in the desert sun all weekend.
