It always feels like Memorial Day to Labor Day goes by in the blink of an eye. Probably because they’re some of the most fun months of the year spent in the sunshine. I’ve found once Labor Day hits it’s extremely hard to dress because it’s still hot but I’m sick of my summer clothes.
Today I’ve teamed up with the gorgeous Kacie of Kacie’s Kloset to show you how us California girls are starting to transition on wardrobes to fall.
I layered a basic v-neck over a sundress (last seen here) for an instant update. For another hint of fall I added my new felt hat.
This dress has such a feminine, flirty feel so I decided to go very girly. I added a statement necklace, a fun pair of pointy heels and my favorite sparkly bow for a look that put me into a wave of nostalgia. It’s fun to still have pieces that make me feel like a kid but are appropriate for real life.

I scored this Clover Canyon dress at a sample sale a few months back and had been dying to wear it! As seen here and here, Clover Canyon is one of my new favorite designers that I just can’t get enough of. I especially loved how this printed dress looked with this neon statement necklace. Sometimes in fashion, more really is more.
PS – How fab is this location? Jeff and I were lucky enough to stay at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village over the weekend. More on that later!
In my opinion, yellow is the perfect summer shade. I recently realized I don’t wear it enough so I’m making an effort to fix this by summer’s end. This Nanette Lepore sandy beach dress was perfect for a co-ed couples shower I attended last weekend. The bride is one of my oldest friends and I’m so excited to celebrate her wedding in Laguna Beach next month!
