This top may have been exactly what my closet’s been missing! It’s so soft and feminine so I had to edge is up a bit with these distressed jeans and choker. I’m all about balance 🙂 The blush color is perfect for late summer into fall and even winter, if you live somewhere mild like I do. I think it would look really chic and luxe tucked into a pair of wine colored velvet pants. I’m loving blush and wine together.

I kinda have an obsession with lace dresses.

But I really noticed how much last night when I was going through my closet. We had to temporarily move into our guest room for the final leg of our long remodel. But guess what… WE’RE ALMOST DONE and get to actually move in this weekend. I’m counting the days. When we moved into our house at the end of November Jeff told me to pack for a month/six weeks top. Good thing I didn’t listen to him and over-packed. Now, fifteen weeks later, I can finally rediscover all my favorite things that have been packed away in our garage all winter.
Valentine’s day is one of my favorite holidays to dress for. Which is probably why I was so excited for this post! Ironically I’ve never been a huge fan of the day, because other than all the chocolate shouldn’t we celebrate love every day?
Anyway…
I’m usually more of a pink girl but this red dress seemed to scream my name. It’s under $30 and is an instant closet staple. Let me say that again, it’s under thirty dollars! Unreal!
What I love about V-Day dressing is you can really have fun with it. Play up the feminine details and pile it on. It’s one of those “more is more” days in my opinion and you really can’t go wrong with a flirty dress.
I know I’m not alone here when I say I’m really feeling fringe this fall. This fringe LBD was a must for me and I’m just upset it didn’t come into my life earlier. It’s so versatile and can basically be worn anywhere from the beach to a cocktail party, or even dressed down with pair of booties and denim jacket.
This week has been BUSY and I’m so happy it’s almost over. Make sure to check out the Shopbop sale I posted about yesterday. In my opinion it’s the best sale this fall.
I’m so obsessed with this white lace midi dress. I only wish I had it 6 months ago so I could have worn it to one of my bridal showers! Seriously, if you’re a bride-to-be, buy this dress for a shower or rehearsal dinner… or anything really! Just don’t wear it to someone else’s bridal shower #rude.

We spent most of our weekend house hunting in some extreme heat. So it was fun to get dressed up to end it. I have another short work week and am heading out of town again for labor day weekend so I’m trying to stay on top of everything. Hope you have a great (maybe short, too) week!
I’m a sucker for a pleated skirt, scratch that, for pleated anything. Recently I spotted this skirt while shopping and knew it was coming home with me. Not to sound like a bridezilla broken record but I have so many upcoming events it’s perfect for. I paired it with this top because midi skirts and crop tops are my spring 2015 jam.
I’ll probably look back at these looks in ten years and cringe the way I do when I see pictures of me wearing gaucho pants, abercrombie skirts and really thick belts around my hips. Although I think this look bit more timeless and classy. But really, the style in the early 00’s was seriously not cute.
