I think this chair would be amazing in a corner with a stack of books and a plant on it.

I love a striped shirt and the details on the back of this one set it appart from the rest.

I have a serious collection of striped shirts. They’re so classic and versatile and I get so much wear out of them. This one is new, under $20 and I’m already imagining wearing it to the beach in the summer over bikinis and cutoffs. I kept it seasonally appropriate here with my favorite faux fur vest and flares.

But let’s talk about the vest for a minute. It’s a piece I always add to my outfit last-minute when I want to feel extra cozy. It feels like a blanket and I find myself wearing it over my PJ’s around the house too.  continue reading

The start of a new year has me thinking about my current wardrobe. As I mentioned in this post one of my resolutions this year is to “shop smarter.” In order to do this it’s important to have a good idea what basics you have and what  you should add to maximize your closet. Before you buy anything new it’s a good idea to think of multiple ways you could style it. When I do that I always end up wearing the piece more and keeping it longer.
