Little Girls Summer Favorites

May 10, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

white dress, red white and blue dress, striped dress, similar blue and white dress

I’ve been finding more cute things for Crosby lately than myself… I guess that’s how motherhood goes! Between swimsuits and sundresses she’s pretty set for summer. Although the way she changes clothes (multiple outfits a day) who knows how long she’s really set for. I wanted to share some of the cute things I’ve found for her lately.

March Top Five

April 8, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

Somehow the first week of April has flown by and gotten away from me. Between all the Easter fun and planning for Wilder’s Birthday (Saturday) it’s been a little hectic. I couldn’t let too much time pass without sharing my March top five sellers. As usual the list is a mixed bag – a few home items, accessories and clothing. I’ll break it all down below!

Fire pit – We’ve had this fire pit for a few years and have been so happy with it. It’s not huge but still a good size. It also comes in gray and i almost wish we went with that color.

Lounge chairs – One of my backyard favorites. I purchased these on sale three years ago and love lounging on them when we’re in the backyard… or when I sneak back there while the kids are napping.

Sunglasses – Jeff and I both got a pair of these a few years ago and still wear them all the time. I think they’re so versatile and flattering on everyone. I love the hexagon shape and they seem to go with everything!

Quilted jacket – This is a hot item. It keeps selling out but they’ve been restocking it here and there. I do want to note it runs really oversized, I purchased a small because xs was not available and it’s very roomy.

Round straw tote – I used this quite a bit on our desert weekend last month. It’s lightweight and a great size for all your sun essentials – would even work if I was with the kids and was lugging their things around.

Last Minute Easter Basket Ideas

March 31, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

This is really the first year I’ve planned Easter baskets for the kids. I remember last year during the start of the pandemic all stores were closed and everything was in such a high demand hardly anything was even shipping. I’m not sure what I put in their baskets, but I’m also confident they’ll never remember. It really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. I wanted to share some last minute Easter basket ideas that will be here before Sunday if you’re scrambling.

Native shoes – these are my favorite summer shoes for toddlers… especially boys. They’re waterproof and basically indestructible.

Toddler boys cute swim trunks – these come in so many different prints/colors. I struggle to find swimsuits for Wilder that aren’t massive… love the length on these.

Cute sunglases – I ordered a 3 pack of these and these daisy beads and made a cute pair for Crosby’s basket. Planning to make the other 2 for her friends birthdays coming up. I think these are cute for little boys.

Color wonder mess free coloring – both kids love these and I love them because they can’t get anything messy… ie I don’t have to stand over their shoulders while they color.

Water bottles/snack cups – a hot item in our house that we’re always replacing and would be cute in a basket.

Bubbles – I got them wands like these, but bubble guns and bubble machines are always a win.

Hair bows – I put a pack of new clips with bows in Crosby’s.

Amazon Sunglasses I Love

August 26, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

It’s no secret I love accessories. Bracelets, necklaces, handbags, hats, etc. I’m a fan of them all. One accessory I wear every day in the summer is a pair of sunglasses. I keep a few in my car and the rest in this amazing case I found on Amazon. It’s perfect for storing up to 5 pairs at a time… it rolls up pretty small and would be great for travel (whenever that happens). Today I want to share 4 of my favorite pairs of inexpensive glasses I found on Amazon. They’re all under $30!

I used to spend a lot of money on sunglasses, but over the years I realized I’m just so hard on them. Now that I have kids I’m even rougher on them. I still love the occasional pair of designer sunglasses, but for every day wear I usually reach for one of these pairs.

This pair is probably my most worn. I love the size, they’re perfect for the beach and pool and are only $15.

This pair is actually polarized! They look a lot like the Ray-Ban version but are only $25.

This pair is so fun! They’re $10 and have a retro feel and come in a lot of colors. I’m actually surprised with how often I’ve worn them.

I purchased this pair about two years ago and have been so happy with the quality. They’re also a larger frame – perfect for the beach and pool.

Here are some other sunglass related items:

  • I think this display would be a great way to keep sunglasses organized at home if you have the space for it.
  • Also love this box, it’s almost like a jewelry box for your favorite pairs.
  • Or if you want to hang them on a wall or back of a door, this would be a great option.
  • I’m a huge fan of sunglass chains – my favorites are this pretty shell one, this dainty gold one, thicker black chain and acrylic tortoise shell chain.

Amazon Summer Favorites

June 30, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

It’s officially my summer, my favorite season! We’ve had a lot of June gloom the past few weeks, but I’m hoping most of that is behind us. I recently cleaned out my closet and found a pair of sunglasses I thought I lost last summer. I purchased this pair over a year ago on Amazon for under $20 and have loved them so much. I recently found another pair with a slightly different shape that I’ve been wearing non-stop the past few weeks. It got me thinking about some of my other summer favorites, and how they’re all from Amazon.

Sunglasses

Like I mentioned, I have two pairs (here and here). Both are under $20, comfortable to wear and look like they cost a lot more. I’ve had several friends purchase them too and everyone has said how impressed they are with the quality.

Sunglasses chains

This is a trend I got into last summer – I purchased this set and wore them all the time. This year I wanted a sea shell chain and found this one. I got it last week and love the dainty touch it adds. It’s like having a necklace that serves a purpose and holds your sunglasses.

Sunglasses case

While we’re hot on the topic of sunglasses I need to mention this case. I originally thought it would be great for travel, a beach or desert vacation when I want to bring a few pairs of sunglasses. Since I haven’t been traveling this year I’ve used it as sunglasses storage and love how easy it is to keep organized. It rolls up to a pretty compact size and holds six pairs.

Fold up visor

I hopped on the visor trend a few years ago and have been all about them ever since. I love this one – it protects my face from the sun, rolls up which makes it easy to toss it in your tote or suitcase… but the best part about a visor is you can wear your hair up!

Clear tote

When it comes to trends I always think it’s better to test drive them and purchase something cheaper instead of diving right in to a more expensive designer piece. I found this tote last summer and loved that is was $20,  but was similar to more expensive versions. It’s a fun bag to use in the day – to brunch, lunch, the beach, pool, etc.

Palm print kimono

This has been a summer staple for me for the past few years. It’s such a fun print – definitely statement making. I wear it over swimsuits all the time and instantly feel like I’m somewhere tropical on vacation.
