We’ve almost made it to my favorite season, spring! I don’t know about you but I’d be good with about two weeks of winter a year. Luckily we don’t have severe or long winters but by March I’m always ready for sunshine and warm weather. Here are my top five sellers from February.

9 Favorite Basic Tops

Over the last year I’ve really gotten into basic tops. The combination of not going many places and favoring comfort/practicality has lead me to take a deep dive and try out several basic tops. Everything from tanks to long sleeves and I’ve found nine that I consider wardrobe staples and wear all. the. time. Seriously – people are probably sick of me talking about them and wearing them but when I find things I love I want to share them. I’m breaking them all down below.

5 Ways to Wear – Tan Shacket

This week I’m highlighting the tan shacket in my staple series and I’m styling it five ways. Well, technically six if you count the pic above from when I first tried it on. This is such a versatile piece that I know I will continue to wear so many different ways. It’s not super heavy duty and more of a layer than an actual jacket, but it works for Southern California winter and could be made warmer with a thicker sweater worn under. Sizing note, it has a comfy oversized fit. If you want it to be more fitted I would suggest sizing down. I went with my normal size and it is definitely on the bigger side, but it’s super comfy to layer.

The $15 Tank I Can’t Shut Up About

If the last four months have taught me anything fashion-wise it’s that a good wardrobe of staples goes a long way. Case in point, this $15 u-neck cotton tank top I bought back in April and can’t stop wearing. I first purchased it in gray but went back for black and white because it’s such a great basic. I’ve worn one of them at least once a week since and have continued to be happy… it’s really soft/great quality for the price. Topshop sizing can run a little small and I sized up to a US 4 for a looser fit and love the way it hangs. This tank always sells out really fast but is back in stock right now – I made sure to order a back up in white (my most worn).

May Top 5

I’m coming at your today with my top 5 sellers from May. I pushed this post back a week to take some time to pause, listen, research and talk about the Black Lives Matter movement. Pausing content was just a start, I’m hopeful that when everyone resumes business, this will not be forgotten and the right steps will be taken to work towards this change. We can all do better.

Cotton tanks, tees, cropped shirts, etc. I love a good top that you can wear with everything from bike shorts to jeans – from taking the kids for a neighborhood walk and (someday) run errands or go out to eat. Today I’m sharing a round up of my go-to tops.

Happy first Monday of 2020! To be honest I was looking forward to this week to get back on schedule.
