Do you remember 10-15 years ago when designer denim was huge and you could pick out what brand someone was wearing based on the pockets of their jeans? I collected designer jeans like it was my job in college and I didn’t even have a job, so thanks mom and dad!
I love having easy pieces I can pull out and throw on when I don’t want to put too much thought into my look. Like at 5 am when I’m getting dressed and ready for work. Yes it’s as terrible as it sounds, but now I’m a morning person who falls asleep at 9 every night. #goals
This sweateris a fun one. It’s so interesting with the waffle pattern, cold shoulders and hi-low hem and I think it would be really cute with shorts and booties in the spring and cutoffsin the summer.
I wore it on a warm Sunday a few weeks back and stayed cool because it’s so relaxed. This is kind of a transition season – winter is on the out’s and spring is close and it can be confusing getting dressed. I live in a land where it’s 60 degrees and rainy one day and 85 and sunny the next, I really rely on transition pieces to help.
When I’m getting dressed in a hurry I gravitate towards effortless casual outfits. Usually jeans and a top, but if I want to elevate the look a bit I throw on a pair of heels. I just got this striped tee last week and it already sold out 🙁 I found similar options here, here and here. I love the heart patches on the sleeves and think it’s perfect for a low-key Valentine’s day.
I’m really picky with my denim. I love skinny jeans but need them to hit at the ankle to flatter my legs. I found this pair at Nordstrom over the holidays and have worn them several times a week since. They’re the perfect length for girls who don’t have legs that are a mile long… and I didn’t even have to get them hemmed!
Well it took awhile but I finally found a pair of over-the-knee boots that don’t break the bank. They’re under $100 and, guys, the quality is amazing! I’m seriously so excited about them and all the outfits I can pair with them. If only we weren’t at the start of our El Nino rainy season… But I digress.
Also, I’m wearing this layered sweateragain because I love it. It’s such an easy piece to wear when you want to feel put together in a simple sweater. I’ll probably wear it again to work this week with rain boots if the rain is really as crazy as they’re saying it will be.
