Last week winter decided to make an appearance in Southern California, and it had been so long I’d forgotten what it was like to be cold! Out came the jackets, coats and sweaters as I tried to be as layered as possible. I had back-to-back brunches mid-week, so it was fun to get a little more dressed up than I normally do. But I’m back to basics this week as I catch up on work and prepare for a fun weekend away.
Happy Tuesday! We’re having a blast of winter weather this week, but over the weekend it was warm and amazing and I was able to wear this fun new spring top. I love the floral print and ruffle detailing and it’s currently on sale! I’m hoping this cold weather doesn’t last long because I’ve started shopping for spring and I can’t wait to wear more of my new things!
I’m getting a late start to today’s post because we had a crazy busy weekend. It was a fun mix of work and catching up with friends, so I can’t complain! I still wanted to get up this week’s wardrobe diary post even though it’s coming to you a bit late.
A few weeks ago I went on a little spring shopping trip after a closet purge and came home with this top. I try to clean out my closet every other month or so… it’s so necessary with the amount of clothing I accumulate. Anyway, I noticed I was lacking some fun springy things and loved everything about this top. The colors are perfect for spring/summer/even winter in Southern California and I love the tie detail. I plan on wearing it again this week with my new “mom jeans.”
