Disney Outifts

March 15, 2022 by ashadmin No Comments

Yesterday Crosby turned 5 and we celebrated as a family at Disneyland! It was Wilder’s first time… and basically Crosby’s too since she was a baby last time we went. We had so much fun and got to see so much while we were there. The perfect introduction to Disneyland! I shared some on my instagram stories yesterday and was getting questions about our outfits so I thought it would be good to have all the links in one place.

on me: tshirt (wearing a women’s small, cut a few inches off the length), ears (came in a 2 pack, shared with Crosby, sunglasses, shorts, sneakers, belt bag

on Crosby: dress, ears, socks, similar sneakers

on Wilder: tshirt, shorts, shoes

Jeff’s tshirt (old from Target) similar

Random tips/info:

March can be cold and rainy but we really lucked out with the weather – it was sunny and 80 degrees. I brought sweatshirts for everyone and pants for the kids to change into but never needed them.

We put in a solid 10 hours and brought our double stroller and this backpack to hold our stuff. The second half of the day the kids spent a lot of time in the stroller, it was so nice to have it with us.

It was pretty crowded since a lot of spring breaks are happening right now, but it wasn’t miserable. We purchased Genie passes to cut down on wait time for the rides. However a lot of the popular kid/toddler rides were not included with the pass. We were able to use it on small world, autopia, monsters inc (CA adventure side), and Buzz Lightyear.

Walmart+ for the Holidays

December 8, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

This holiday season seemed to sneak up on me even faster than the pasts. I swear after Halloween it feels like you blink and it’s the holidays. The kids are at the most fun ages and have been so excited to celebrate. I’ve been busy shopping for decorations and gifts, but thanks to my Walmart+ membership I can check so much off my list without leaving my house. That is such a life savor for me!

I’ve been a Walmart+ member since they launched over a year ago and have saved so much time and money. Actually when I login to my dashboard it tells me exactly how much, 27 hours and $238. That’s huge!

So what do you get with a Walmart+ membership?

Unlimited free delivery. Place and order and remember you forgot something? No problem, you can place another order and not worry about shipping costs.

Member prices on fuel.

Mobile scan & go when shopping in store.

Same day delivery on items available in your local store.

… & so much more!

Our family celebrates both Chanukah and Christmas so I’ve had a lot on my to-do list lately gearing up for both. I found these sticker books and this sketch book and crayons I can’t wait for Crosby to open. And got Wilder this fun Dinosaur and play guitar. I ordered all of those plus our weekly groceries in the comfort of my own home and it made me feel so much more prepared and organized to tackle the holiday season.

While I was browsing I found this cute sweater set (top, pants) and beanie for myself.

Since we’re talking about gifts, I actually think a Walmart+ membership would be the perfect gift for a friend or family member. Who doesn’t need more convenience in their life? It’s $98/year and allows you to receive the benefits all year long. You can sign up here.

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post.

Family Halloween Costume

October 27, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

Jeff’s Tin Man costume, Crosby’s Dorothy dress, socks, shoes, similar basket, Wilder’s Lion costume, my hat, flannel shirt, leggings, similar boots

The countdown is on… just four more days until Halloween! Crosby and Wilder are so excited! As usual Crosby picked our costumes this year… she’s been really into the Wizard of Oz the past month and was set on being Dorothy. She really wanted me to be “the beautiful witch” aka Glenda, but I thought we should be the four main characters. Wilder, on the other hand, isn’t completely excited to be the lion. This was the first year he had a real opinion/say in his costume so on actual Halloween he’ll be dressed as Branch from Trolls.

Hope you have a happy Halloween!

July Top 5

August 13, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

Coming to you very late with my top five from last month. The past few weeks have been a little crazy… it started with a sleep regression/seperation anxiety (Wilder) and then both kids got sick, so my attention has been focused primarily on them and everything else got pushed aside. Fingers crossed that we’re finally on the other side of all that now. Needless to say I am very much looking to school starting in just a couple weeks. I can’t wait for us all to get on a solid routine!

Let’s go back to what this post is supposed to be about… July top five. The Nordstrom sale was a big part of last month and every single one of my top sellers is a direct reflection of that.

Brixton Hat – I LOOOOOVE Brixton hats. The quality is amazing and the price point is perfect. I have several and love how unique but on trend they all are. I’ve had this one for a couple years and was so excited to see it included in the Nordstrom sale – also in this pretty vanilla color. Both are extremely wearable and versatile. I also snagged this one while it was on sale and it’s been my favorite hat this summer.

Clare V. Backpack – I didn’t end up purchasing this but I shared it and everyone went nuts for it. Clare V is another brand I’m a loyal fan of. Her quality is amazing and I always love the new designs every season.

Wayf Top – I tried this top on in both white and leopard and they were drastically different. The white was super stiff and felt cheap but the leopard was amazing! Much better material that was breathable and comfortable. I think this top is perfect for fall. Would be so cute with cat ears for Halloween but also so cute to wear to Thanksgiving dinner.

Levis – My new top favorite jeans! They are so flattering, comfortable and I’ve already worn them a bunch even though it’s the dead of summer. I went with my normal size and the fit is perfect. I’m 5″4 and they hit right at my ankle – love that I don’t have to get them hemmed.

Alo Leggings – These come in a few colors but the gray won me over. I love that they’re neutral but I didn’t have anything else like them in my closet. I went with my true size and they’re super comfortable and stay up!

June Top 5

July 7, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

I can’t believe we’re already one week into July! I’m still playing catch up from the holiday weekend – does the laundry ever end?! I know the rest of the summer is going to FLY by so I’m trying to soak it all in. Sharing my top five sellers from June today. A couple duplicates from last month as well as some new additions.

Rainbow Mesh Sweater – This sweater was such a hit. It has the fun rainbow colored stripes and since it’s mesh it’s a great summer sweater! You can layer a cami or even a swimsuit under for a fun look.

Crochet Coverup Shorts – When I spotted these I knew I had to have them. They’re so comfortable and perfect to throw over a swimsuit for the beach or pool.

Agolde Parker Shorts – My all time favorite denim shorts. These are wildly popular and for good reason! They’re high-wasited, comfy and so flattering. I wear them several times a week.

Crochet Coverup Top – The matching top to the coverup shorts. Makes the cutest set! I’ve also worn it with my Madewell beach pants, over a swimsuit to the beach.

Beige Outdoor Rug – We’ve had this rug for over a year now and love how it brightens up the living space on our cement patio. It has held up pretty well, but we stored it away for the winter/rainy times to keep it protected.

April Top 5

May 3, 2021 by ashadmin No Comments

Happy May! I was making an appointment today for “the end of May” and I realized we’re already in May and it blew my mind. This year is going by even faster than normal but I guess that’s what happens as you get older. I’m currently trying to map out our summer, mainly Crosby’s activity calendar, and can’t believe it’s right around the corner. Today I want to share my top five sellers from April.

Forever 21 Quilted Jacket – I purchased this in black at the end of March and then it sold out. They brought it back in April in a few pretty spring colors and every time I mentioned it I saw how quickly they were selling. It’s super soft (like a heavier sweatshirt), comfy, warm and looks like a much more expensive version. They’re running a promo right now – 25% off when you spend $85+ with code BMSM25 // 20% off when you spend $60 with code BMSM20 // 10% off when you spend $50 with code BMSM10

Seagrass Glasses – I purchased these last year and used them so much. They’re glass but I love them for outdoor. The seagrass part comes off making them easy to wash. They also come in a low ball version.

Agolde Jamie Jeans – One of my favorite pairs of distressed jeans that seem to get better with wear. I’ve had these for a few years now and wear them all the time. They’re more of a splurge but Agolde is one of my favorite denim brands – plus I wear them all the time which makes the cost per wear much lower.

Peixoto Pom Pom Dress – Such a cute and fun coverup with the pom pom details and open back. There’s even a version for little girls so you can twin!

Abercrombie Crochet Square Neck Tank – Love this for spring and summer. The square neckline is on trend and the crochet is so pretty. It’s lined almost all the way to the bottom so you don’t have to worry about it being see through.
