While on one of my trips to Target last week I came across the cutest matching sweaters for me and Crosby. They come in four different color combs and I picked the one I thought she’d like the best. Once I got home and looked online I saw they were also available in little girls sizes and there was even an adorable matching romper for babies in one of the color combos.

Six Ways to Style a Shacket
This fall the “shacket” has taken over. Are you familiar with shackets? They’re basically oversized shirt jackets that give off an effortlessly cool vibe. Shirt + Jacket = Shacket. I’ve been on the hunt for a neutral plaid one for awhile now and finally came across this one last week. I purchased it and shared three ways to wear it on instagram, but it sold out so fast. Luckily it’s been re-stocked and is also available in another plaid and solid cream. They’re all so pretty! Today I’m sharing six different ways to style the plaid shacket.

November Top 5
We survived another month of 2020 and now we’re really in the homestretch. I’m not sure how a year that feels so slow can still be moving this fast, but here we are! I definitely didn’t get much holiday shopping done during the cyber sales but I will be buckling down on that soon. In the meantime, it’s the first of the month which means it’s time to share my top 5 best sellers from last month.

Small Business Saturday
Something I’m trying to be intentional about this year is shopping small businesses. They need our support more than ever right now. Whether it’s getting a coffee from a neighborhood coffee shop instead of a chain, doing take out from a favorite local restaurant or finding unique gifts from a small business – these are great ways to support small businesses. This year I’m trying to do some of my holiday shopping this way and have found some really fun and special gifts along the way I wanted to share 10 of my favorites.
Early Cyber Week Beauty Sales
Happy Monday! I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving week… and even though the holiday will be different for so many this year (my family included), I know it will still be a nice day. Thanksgiving also marks the start of a crazy cyber week (black Friday, cyber Monday, etc). It seems like every year it starts earlier and earlier and get more intense. Part of my job is to highlight sales and be a resource for anyone looking for them. I’m sharing deals on things I love that I think you’ll like too. However, that said I don’t want anyone to feel pressured or like you “have” to buy things. I really don’t want anyone to feel bad if they are not in a position to spend right now. What matters most, especially right now, is health. These are all just material things that do not matter in the grand scheme of things.

Cozy Cold Weather Style
Last weekend we had our first batch of actual cold weather. We spent the majority of the time inside but Sunday afternoon after naps we decided to head out on a short walk and we really bundled up. Luckily the kids both had semi appropriate clothing but this also forced me to go through our closets to purge what no longer fits and figure out what gaps we need to fill before it gets colder.
on me: sweater, leggings, jacket, beanie, combat boots
on Crosby: beanie, similar top, similar jacket, leggings, combat boots

Best Artificial Christmas Trees
I think holiday decorating starts earlier and earlier each year. Here we are not even one week after Halloween and I’m already thinking about decorating. Last year we decorated our tree mid-November but waited until after Thanksgiving to hang our lights outside… I’m thinking we’ll do something similar this year. Another reason to get started at least thinking about things early is because lots of decorations sell out quickly. And with the extra time everyone has spent at home this year… I think they’ll go even faster.
