One of the questions I’m asked most is how do I do my hair? I wanted to get a tutorial up here but time got away from me… I still might one day. But for now I thought I’d share some of my hair secrets. I’m lucky to be blessed with a lot of straight hair. Although if it were up to me it would have at least a little wave/curl to it #grassisalwaysgreener.
I’d say about 85% of the time I let my hair air dry and don’t bother “styling” it. This is mostly during the week when I’m working. But sometimes I don’t touch it before I take pictures for the blog. Those are the ones you see of me with a hat on, a braid or just straight don’t get AF hair. However, I actually love to style my hair (though it does take some time) and these are the tools I rely on.
T3 wand c/o- up until recently I used a regular curling iron without using the clamp. This thing is a game-changer that’s changed my life. Dramatic? Maybe but here’s the deal… you place a section of hair in the clamp and with a touch of a button, the technology detects the motion of your hand and automatically propels the barrel in the desired direction. It basically curls your hair at the turn of your wrist!
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave In – I’ve written about this before so I’ll keep it simple. My hair gets so tangled when it’s wet and this is the only thing that allows me to get a wet brush through it. I’d buy stock in it if I could.
Aveda Thickening Tonic and Love Oil c/o- if you’re heat styling your hair you need to treat it to a little TLC. These are both amazing and leave my hair feeling nourished and trauma free. I even use a little if I’m not putting heat on it while letting it air-dry.
1907 Blow Dryer and Round Brushes c/o- like I mentioned, I let my hair air-dry most of the time. So when I reach for a blow dryer it better be the best of the best. I’ve been loving this one from 1907 and the brushes that go along with it. When I want a sleek blow-out look this is what I use.
