I cannot believe it’s already August… that means Wilder is almost 4 months old. Insane. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been a mom of two for that long. Most days I feel like I’m just trying to keep my head above water and survive until nap/bed time. I’ve had a lot of requests to talk about the transition from one to two kids.

Last week we took our first trip as a family of four. I’m still exhausted and think I need a vacation to recover. 😉 I got so many questions about traveling with two kids. I am by no means an expert, but there were a few things that were very helpful. I want to share my must haves when traveling with a toddler and an infant.

I’ve needed a new pair of denim shorts all summer, so I decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and get a pair. But let me just tell you, it wasn’t that simple. I tried on five different pairs in order to find the best fit and I wanted to stay under $100.

Now that we have two kids getting out of the house for long periods of time is more intense. We still do it but whenever we can stay home we’re always more relaxed. This summer we’ve been playing in our backyard as much as possible. I wanted to share my favorite outdoor things that make our backyard fun for a toddler.

Today is the first day of public access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Fingers crossed that things that have sold back will make their way back into stock… you just never know. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale officially opens to card holders today. Honestly the sale has been hit or miss in recent years. Back in the day I remember shopping the sale early in the morning and buying my first pair of 7 jeans. 🙂 This year I’m going in with a short list and sticking to it. I don’t really need to stock up on fall items because summer is just starting and I’ll probably be interested in something else come December (when it’s finally fall-ish here). That said there are still a lot of cute fall pieces I will share in case you’re looking.

Time is moving so fast! Wilder is already three months old… and I’m in disbelief. I actually first titled this post “Two Months…” before I realized that was incorrect. So here we are, three months in with two.

The sun is out and it’s finally starting to feel like summer! Just in time for stores to bring out all the fall things. Ha! But in all honestly, our summer is only just beginning and it won’t be anything close to fall until at least Thanksgiving. Crosby and I are taking this opportunity to wear all the cute swimsuits we can… starting with these fun one-pieces we wore Sunday.

Happy 4th of July! I wanted to throw it back with photos from the last two years. Crosby was so tiny! Can’t wait for this year’s family shot. I’m also rounding up some of my favorite sales that are all underway.
