Best Artificial Christmas Trees

I think holiday decorating starts earlier and earlier each year. Here we are not even one week after Halloween and I’m already thinking about decorating. Last year we decorated our tree mid-November but waited until after Thanksgiving to hang our lights outside… I’m thinking we’ll do something similar this year. Another reason to get started at least thinking about things early is because lots of decorations sell out quickly. And with the extra time everyone has spent at home this year… I think they’ll go even faster.

Combat Boot Round Up

It’s officially boot season! One of my favorite boot trends right now are combat boots… or military/army whatever you want to call them. I’ve been really into the combat boot comeback the past few years. When I was in 7th grade I saved up money babysitting to buy my first pair of Dr. Martens boots. I collected a few pairs back then (late 90’s) that I held onto and still wear sometimes! Today I want to share a roundup of combat boots I’m loving at various price points.

Fall & Winter Outer Wear

Mama jacket // babe jacket

Over the weekend we had our first taste of fall weather this year. It was a nice change from the crazy heat we’ve been experiencing. Naturally that got me thinking ahead to fall and winter fashion… specifically outer wear. Usually at the start of a season I like to take inventory in my wardrobe to see what holes I need to fill. Today I want to talk about my favorite outer wear trends right now.

How To Style Family Photos

We’re taking family photos next week and I’m so excited. We haven’t taken photos of the four of us with a photographer in over a year and it’s crazy how much bigger the kids are now. Wilder looks like a completely different baby. It might be the former stylist in me, but I enjoy picking out our family outfits for the photos. I wanted to share some tips if you’re taking family photos soon.

September Top 5

We’re officially in the homestretch of the longest year in history… at least that’s what it seems like. Usually once we hit Halloween the rest of the year flies by, I’m counting on that to happen even though the holidays are all going to be a little different this year. Today I’m sharing my September top 5, and for the first time since May, it’s entirely new items.

Saving Time & Sanity With Walmart+

As a mom of two toddlers in 2020 it’s so hard to stay organized with everything. Some days I feel like I have it all together. I get up early to get ready and drink coffee before the kids get up, breakfast goes smoothly, we head out on an outing in the morning and seamlessly make it to nap time. Other days (these seem to happen more often) I feel like I’m constantly trying to play catch up. Re-heating my coffee a few times, cleaning up constant messes, not making it out of my pjs before noon and realizing I we’re out of diapers/laundry detergent/sunblock/wipes, etc even though I just went shopping the day before.

BABY

Baby & Toddler Halloween Costumes

Have you ever seen a happier leopard?! I can’t believe Halloween is just over a month away. For the second year in a row Crosby told me what she wants to be and what she wants Wilder to be. She definitely calls the shots! Last year she was a butterfly and he was a frog, but I had to put him in her old baby leopard costume for a few photos too. Crosby wore this in a Halloween fashion show on Access Hollywood Live when she was 7 months old and fell asleep on camera. Wilder seemed to love wearing it and was just about the cuddliest little leopard cub.
