Last week I got to sneak away to a fun dinner at Pacific Edge Hotel with Show Me Your Mumu. I’ve always loved this brand – they’re LA based and have the most fun bright prints. I knew I had to take this dress home with me.

Continue readingHappy 2017! With the new year come all kinds of fitness and wellness goals and with that comes new activewear. Or at least that’s how I see it. 🙂 Now that I’m in the third trimester I’m trying to make better health decisions. I have to admit, the first two trimesters I was eating whatever baby I wanted, which was definitely not the most balanced diet, consisting of lots of carbs and sugar. Live and learn, right? I’m also trying to be a little more active. There’s not much I can do workout wise at this point, but getting out and going for short walks everyday is something I’m trying to do more. I have much more energy throughout the day when I do and I know it’s better for mine and baby’s health in the long run. continue reading
When it comes to shoes, Sperrys are about all Jeff wears. His closet even looks like a Sperry showroom. I figured I needed to start trying to catch up and this was the pair I chose.
One of our favorite things to do on weekends is walk around Balboa Island. We love stopping on the docks and watching the boats in the harbor, so it was really fitting to wear my new Sperrys while doing that. They’re the brand that invented the original boat shoe in 1935, and have been putting trendy spins on the platform ever since. Even though we weren’t actually on a boat, I was prepared “just in case.” What I love most about Sperry are their colors, everything is so bright, my Liberty Floral pair is so fun and playful I can’t wait to wear them more this spring. continue reading
Once the temps heat up I am always sucked back into the nautical trend. Although that traditionally means red, white and blue, I’ve partnered with the gorgeous Amy from Leopard and Lillies to bring you a new take on this fun trend.
Amy is an American living abroad in Dubai with her husband and cute dog… I always love seeing how chic she looks and living vicariously through her worldly travels. If you’re not familiar with her blog, make sure to check it out!
Can you believe I’m wearing this skort again?! Totally my spring/summer uniform this year and I’ll make no apologies for it. I paired it with this navy and white striped top and added a fun twist with this neon yellow sunflower necklace and bronze sandals. This makes me want to set sail but I settled for at least being boat-side. continue reading
This skort has become quite the staple in my wardrobe. I love how versatile it is and how I’m finding every excuse to wear it. One of my wardrobe secrets is a good tailor. When I bought this skort (how many time can I say skort in one post?) it was a little big. But now it fits like it was made for me! Always seek out a recommendation for a tailor in your area, a good fit makes all the difference.
old h&m tshirt, zara skort (this one is practically identical and less than half the price), mossimo sandals, wander lust + co black wrap bracelet c/o, urban outfitters rose gold bracelet, kitson gold arrow bracelet (similar) continue reading
I was so excited to take these pics. But once I saw them I was like, “ughhh.” It was the wrong time of day with the sun shinning directly over my head turning the best setting into not the best set of photos. So, while most of them will never see the light of day I’m moving forward with a few… there’s always next time Balboa Island. Sometimes I feel like it’s my first time doing this.
Side note – how well do the colors in my outfit blend into the setting? It’s like I think I’m hunting seagulls or something. continue reading
