We’re only a week or so in but I can say my favorite purchase so far this spring has been this striped ombre rainbow cardigan. I’ve been so drawn to neutrals the past several months and was wanting something fun as the weather warms up. I first spotted this knit striped rainbow cardigan a few weeks ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. A few days later it went on sale so I pulled the trigger and am so happy I did. I never knew how versatile a rainbow clothing item could be until I started thinking of different things I’d wear it with… once I started going I decided to style it 10 ways for a fun post.
Happy Thursday! I’m coming to you today from the couch with a kid who’s home not feeling good so we’re taking it a little slower and watching a little more tv than normal. It’s cold and gloomy outside so at least we’re not missing much. I can’t believe we’re heading into April next week… if only our weather would fully get on board with spring. I’ve been craving all things rainbow and pastel lately and pulled together my recent favorite spring finds.
Maybe it’s because our weather has been so warm this week, but I’m really feeling spring right now! I absolutely love the start of spring (really any new season), but I think spring clothes are my favorite. The easiest way to start transitioning your wardrobe right now is with sweaters you can wear when it’s both cold and warm. I found six that are perfect to refresh your winter wardrobe and wear into the warmer months over dresses, shorts and skirts.
The detailing on this sweater is gorgeous and I really love the side ties. So pretty and can be worn so many ways. It would look great over a swimsuit or a dress.
I did the bra tuck with this one to fake a cropped look, but it’s definitely a full length sweater. I think the color is so pretty, especially with these white jeans. It comes in two other colors as well.
I wore this to an event earlier in the month and loved how flattering it was. The wrap style lets you adjust how fitted you want it to be so. It’s the perfect neutral to wear with just about anything.
Hope you’ve had a great week – thank you so much for reading and following!
I know we’re already a few days in but happy February! I know the beginning of the year can sometimes drag but I always feel like once we get through February it really speeds up. I’m starting the month by sharing last month’s top sellers. I started this series last year and plan to continue it through 2020. Some months my top items are all over the place… but this month they’re not only all women’s clothing items, but they’re all from Nordstrom!
This cardigan has made the list again! That should tell you how good it is. It comes in a few other colors too and is just so cozy. I constantly wear it around the house… but also wear it out and about.
I purchased this sweatshirt a few weeks ago and have already worn it multiple times. I love that it’s a simple sweatshirt with fun balloon sleeves that somehow elevate it a bit. Plus its tie dyed which is SO trendy right now and it’s under $40.
Another piece I tried on in store a few weeks ago. I love this simple under $30 graphic tee. I dressed it up a little with a midi skirt here, but it can also be worn casually. One of those pieces that you’ll reach for all the time.
The unicorn jeans came back briefly but are now sold out again! I’ll leave the original link in case they somehow come back in stock. This pair and this pair are super similar and equally flattering.
Happy first Monday of 2020! To be honest I was looking forward to this week to get back on schedule. There was just something about having two back to back mid-week holidays that made me feel so unproductive. I’m ready for a fresh start! As promised today I want to take a deep dive into 2019’s top products. I started sharing my monthly top products in September but wanted to share which ones performed the best of the whole year.
Monthly I usually have a little bit of everything from my clothing to home decor, beauty and even kids clothes. But the year end report’s top performers only fall into women’s clothing and home. So interesting!
I originally purchased this for Crosby’s nursery about three years ago to use as a footrest/ottoman with the rocker. It was one of the pieces I kept in the room when we re-designed it for Wilder. It’s incredibly versatile and works with so many different styles.
Striped Jumpsuit
Purchased this in early September and have worn it so much. It made my top performers for both September and October. It’s no longer available but this one is similar and on sale under $30.
Have loved this jacket for over a year now. Both Crosby and Wilder have the coordinating “Babe” jackets. I wear denim jackets year round and love that this one is a little more interesting.
Purchased these in July during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and decided they were the unicorn of denim. I still had a few pounds of baby weight hanging around (mostly around my lower stomach), but could somehow fit into my pre-pregnancy size in these jeans. If that’s not enough to make you love a pair of jeans, I’m not sure what is. There aren’t a lot of sizes left, but this pair is fully stocked and pretty similar.
I went back and forth over a rug for Wilder’s nursery early last year and finally decided on this one. I knew I wanted something black and white but the texture on this one ended up being what sold me.I love the way it looks in his room.
Tis the week, or season I guess, for sales! I know typically you think of Black Friday as the kickoff for “cyber week,” but it seems like lots of retailers start their sales early. One of my favorite places to shop online is Shopbop and today they started their “Buy More Save More Sale.” I wanted to share my favorite pieces I own and love that are included.
But first here’s a breakdown of the sale info…
I do a lot of shopping on Shopbop. They carry so many of my favorite brands like BB Dakota, Wayf, Agolde, Gorjana, Levis, etc. I’m including photos I’ve taken with pieces that I’ve worn over the past few months.
