September Top 5

October 1, 2019 by ashadmin 2 Comments

How is it already October? Wild! I’m doing things a little differently today and wanted to share the top five items I featured last month. Often times when I link a product both on my blog and instagram I make a small percentage if anyone purchases it. Kind of like when a salesperson helps you in a store and earns a commission. These items were the five most purchased in September through my links.

1. Striped jumpsuit

I’m really not surprised it was such a top seller. I purchased it myself last month and wore it several times already. I plan to keep wearing it into fall with a denim jacket.

2. Ribbed jumpsuit

Another jumpsuit! I actually purchased this one first and loved it so much I found the striped one too. They’re both from Topshop and are $55 each. They’re both so comfortable but this one honestly feels like I’m wearing pajamas. I also plan to take it into fall with a suede jacket and booties.

3. Madewell jeans

I purchased these in July during the Anniversary Sale and they’ve been a top seller each month since. I swear they’re the unicorn of jeans… high-waisted and flattering because they suck everything in, and bonus, I was able to get them in my pre-pregnancy size.

*edit, these were so popular they sold out. BUT, this pair is super similar… same brand, wash, price and fit.

4. Neutral sweatshirt

I’ve only had the chance to wear this a couple times but I know it’s a great staple for the cooler months. I purchased it with these bike shorts and think they pair so well together, but it will also work with jeans. It has an oversized fit, I bought an xs and it’s still roomy.

5. Tula Rose Glow eye balm

This is such an amazing product. You can put it on over or under your makeup and it INSTANTLY cools, plus it adds the best glow to your skin that’s still really subtle. I’m seriously obsessed and it’s now a staple in my beauty routine.

*You can get 20% off all Tula products with code ASHLEY20

Hope you have a great week! Let me know if you like this type of post and I can make it a monthly series.

Fall Dresses I Love

September 17, 2019 by ashadmin 1 Comment

Over the weekend Crosby turned two and a half and we celebrated with donuts and coffee at the beach. Does anyone else celebrate half birthdays? She’s obsessed with birthdays right now but doesn’t quite get what a half birthday is. Ha!

on me: similar hat, sunglasses chain (comes in an 8 pack), sunglasses, dress c/o, similar sandals here and here

on Crosby: dress c/o (similar, similar), sandals c/o

I got this dress in the mail last week and thought it would be perfect for a fall wedding. I currently have zero on my calendar so I took it as an excuse to dress up for our outing. Crosby has had this adorable dress from Loveshackfancy just burning a whole in her closet for over a year now. It finally almost fits so she wore it for the half bday celebration. It’s definitely a dress she will be able to wear for awhile since it’s so long. She has another one that’s white and sleeveless that will be just as cute.

Wanted to share a few other dresses I’m loving for fall weddings or special occasions.

  • This one is perfect for a night time event. Would even work into the holiday season.
  • Love this long sleeved mini. Prettiest colors for fall!
  • Love this red leopard print. Would be so cute for an evening event.
  • I tried this one on over the summer and was obsessed with the fit. It comes in several colors appropriate for wedding guests and would be pretty for the holidays too.
  • If you’re looking for lace, I love this one for fall/winter.

Jumpsuits I’m Loving

September 12, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

jumpsuit, jumpsuit

I was doing some online shopping last week and came across this jumpsuit. I loved how neutral and comfortable it looked and that it was something I’d be able to wear from the end of summer through fall. I quickly ordered it for in-store pick up and was even happier with it once I tried it on. I wore it over the weekend and went back online to see if I could find anything similar. I found a couple really similar options in different colors and ended up getting this striped one.

Topshop actually has a few similar, I haven’t tried them on but since I was so happy with the fit of the two I got I can only imagine they’re similar. Here’s one in olive green and here’s one in black.

I wore the striped one out rum tasting on a yacht Monday. Typing that makes me sound a lot fancier than I am. Tuesday I was back in my momiform running errands and going to the park with the kids. It was fun while it lasted!

Since I’m loving jumpsuits so much right now I wanted to share a few others at all different price points. This one is also striped and comes in two different color ways for under $16. This one looks really comfy and still chic – comes in four colors and is under $20. This one has a higher price point but I’m loving the color for this time of year. Obsessed with this camo one, it looks so cozy! This one is super cute but looks more like overalls and it’s under $100. And lastly, I love this off the shoulder one, the print is fun too.

jumpsuit, bag, sunglasses chain, sunglasses, long necklace, shorter necklace, bracelets: 1, 2, 3, 4, similar sandals

on me: hat, jumpsuit, slides

on Wilder: similar onesie

on Crosby: similar dress, sandals

Hope you’re having a great week – thank you so much for reading and following!

What I’ve Been Wearing

September 26, 2018 by ashadmin No Comments

I wanted to do a quick post today to share some of my recent fall outfits. I’m kind of starting to dress more for fall and that’s reflected mostly by the colors I’ve been wearing. Darker hues with some pops. I’m loving mustard or marigold… whatever you want to call it.

top c/o, jeans, pop socket

top c/o, sunglasses, similar hat, necklace c/o, shorts, bracelets here and here

on Crosby bow c/o, outfit, shoes c/o

We wore these outfits out to dinner last week and had to snap a pic. My top is so soft and I love the color. Crosby was especially cute in her matching set.

dress c/o, similar bag, shoes c/o

on Jeff suit, shirt, similar shoes

I wore this dress to Jeff’s high school reunion over the weekend. I was at a loss for what to wear before I got it in the mail. Once I tried it on I knew it would be perfect.

Here’s another view straight on. You can wear it a different way by tying the neck tie around your neck, but I prefer it hanging.

shoes c/o, jeans c/o, similar hat, rug, coffee table, faux cactus, coasters, poufs, similar tray

It’s still a battle to keep anything on the coffee table with a toddler, but I’m trying! These coasters get thrown around the room when she’s playing, but since they’re leather it’s not really a problem.

similar hat, top c/o, shorts, sandals c/o

on Crosby bow, jumpsuit, shoes c/o

I’ve been loving this top, seen above with shorts and below with jeans. It’s absolutely perfect for fall and super flattering.

sunglasses, tshirt, cardigan c/o, shorts, sandals c/o

I’m always a fan of duster cardigans. Love that this one is light weight and a great neutral. It goes with so many things in my closet.

Leopard Cardigan

September 24, 2018 by ashadmin 1 Comment

The calendar says it’s officially fall and I’m celebrating with a new leopard cardigan. I love leopard all year round, but think it’s especially perfect for fall. It’s basically a neutral that can be worn with so many colors. I’m excited to style this cardi more ways once it gets cooler. I know it will be a fun staple in my closet.

sunglasses, cardigan c/o (more sizes here & here), tank, bag c/o, shorts, similar sandals

I can’t believe October is just one week away! I feel like once we get to October it’s basically non-stop til the end of the year. I’m starting to make a fall list of activities and things I want to do with Crosby and can’t wait to get started! She’s at such a fun age right now and I think she’s going to love pumpkin patches, petting zoos, farms and other things like that. Last year we took her to a pumpkin patch and it was super cute, but I know she didn’t have any clue what was going on.

Back to my outfit… I paired the cardigan with a lighter color palette here, because it’s still really warm. But it’s the perfect top layer for a chilly restaurant or store and mornings/evenings when it’s cooler. And yes, I wear white jeans (and even shorts) year round. 🙂

I’ve found a few other leopard pieces I love and want to share. This faux fur leopard bomber is from one of my favorite brands and looks especially cozy. Love this under $50 leopard clutch this cute top and these cute sneakers. They’re all great and equally versatile pieces that can be styled multiple ways.

Hope you had a great weekend – thanks for reading and following!
