After this post I resolved to wear more yellow this summer, but I kinda failed. That is until I spotted this top in my closet which I threw on for a Birthday party and a day of errands. I realized yellow doesn’t have to be strictly a summer color; I love mustards and golds for fall and winter. Now I’m getting serious about this color and will be buying up more cheery pieces to add to my wardrobe as the seasons change.

Ok, I confess… I am addicted to the Zara skort. You’ve seen me wear it in white (here and here) and in blue (here), but that didn’t stop me from swooping up it in rorange (not a typo, combo of red and orange). I didn’t even know my life was missing this mid-90’s trend and now I can’t stop wearing them! My lizard top added a playful element and I had so much fun wearing this to work that I repeated the outfit over the weekend.

Bright blue and white is probably my favorite summer color pairing. Since getting this last week I’ve worn it a couple times and love how easy it is to style. The fish print is so fun and I added an extra playful twist with a floral belt. I love adding in fun accessories to mix it up.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; summer is my favorite season. However, every year about this time I start getting excited for fall fashion. It takes me back to back to school shopping with my mom and I makes me want to buy a new wardrobe. One thing I’ve been really loving is skirts and I plan on wearing more of them in the fall. The best thing about them? There are no rules! Skirts are trending from asymmetrical minis to the longest maxis and everything in between.

I’m excited to share my new partnership with Aeropostale! Awhile back they contacted me about being an Aero VIP and sharing my favorite pieces currently in their stores. To be honest, I was really not familiar with the brand but did a little research and liked what I saw!

Since it’s mid August stores are pulling out their “Back to School”/fall items and I’ve been loving all the distressed jeans and slouchy sweaters I’ve been seeing. But since it’s mid August, summer in So Cal hasn’t really even reached it’s peak. Luckily I was able to sneak in these pieces one evening. I know I will be living in them when the seasons do change.
